11 best c e sata cables
C.E. SATA cables are used for connecting storage drives, such as hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs), to a computer's motherboard or other SATA-compatible devices. Here's what you need to know about C.E. SATA cables and their relevance in the realm of computer accessories and electronics:
SATA Connector Types: C.E. SATA cables typically feature connectors that are designed for SATA devices. These connectors are L-shaped and have two primary types:
- SATA Data Connector: This connector is responsible for transmitting data between the storage drive and the motherboard or controller card.
- SATA Power Connector: The power connector supplies power to the SATA drive.
Compatibility: SATA cables are backward compatible, meaning you can use newer SATA cables with older SATA devices and vice versa. However, the speed and performance of the connection may be limited by the slower component.
Data Transfer Speeds: SATA cables support different data transfer speeds, with SATA we (1.5 Gbps), SATA II (3 Gbps), and SATA III (6 Gbps) being the most common standards. The choice of cable can affect the maximum speed at which data can be transferred between the drive and the motherboard.
Locking Mechanism: Many SATA cables come with a locking mechanism that ensures a secure connection. This helps prevent accidental disconnection.
Length: SATA cables are available in various lengths to accommodate different PC configurations. It's essential to choose a cable length that provides enough flexibility without excess slack.
Color Coding: Some manufacturers use color-coded SATA cables to help users differentiate between SATA I, II, and III cables. This can be helpful when identifying the speed of the cable.
Cable Quality: The quality of the cable can affect signal integrity and performance.High-quality cables with proper shielding can help reduce interference and maintain a stable connection.
Usage: SATA cables are primarily used for connecting internal storage drives to a computer's motherboard. They are commonly found in desktop PCs, laptops, and servers.
Replacement and Upgrades: Users may need SATA cables when upgrading or replacing storage drives in their computers. It's a good practice to have spare SATA cables on hand for such occasions.
Data Backups and Storage: SATA cables play a critical role in maintaining data integrity and accessibility, making them essential components in data storage and backup systems.
When selecting a C.E. SATA cable, it's important to consider the compatibility with your devices, the desired data transfer speed, and the cable length needed for your specific computer setup. Properly functioning SATA cables are crucial for reliable data storage and retrieval in modern computing systems.

Question: | how long is the cord |
Answer: | The item is design to be attached via MOLLE straps. If you have a Condor Outdoor Battle Belt, or other MOLLE belt system, it would work. The straps could be looped around a normal belt but there would not be much to keep the pouch from sliding along the belt. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Length of the cable |
Answer: | I've been wearing these probably for 2 or more years now (I have a bad back and helps a lot) Well from the very first pair I bought and just bought a pair today I have taken the ankle strap right off the shoe. YUP and 99.9 % of the time I'm wearing them I'm wearing them with NO SOCKKS and have never ever had a problem falling out of the or anything like that. As for half size I wear 8-8 and a half I got a 9 then went to a 10 (ALL WOMENS SIZE) Today I got a women's size 11 and I know I will be taking off the strap of those too If I'm not "swimming" in the 11 and have to return them with the ankle straps attached BUT if they fit ok off the starps will come OH AND SOMETHING YOU CAN DO TOO to see if they work for you without the strap on. Just put the strap on the top of the top of the shoe don't have to bother taking the strap off just try that instead I forgot I did that with my very first pair and after wearing them like that for awhile realized I could take the straps right off the shoe and have ever since. I love my crocs (bad back problems) helps a lot. I wear mine constantly and have found that for me the inside sole does wear down after time you'll notice how much when you get a new pair. Nothing lasts forever |
Question: | will this work on external enclosure with 4 drives that has esata port |
Answer: | I have tried the sizes 8 and 9 in women's and the 8 is just barely too short, my heel goes over the back and toes just touch the front, and then I ordered a 9 as the only other alternative. The 9's were WAY too big and bulky. I wear a 8.5 and my feet are 9.5" long. It seems like my Croc wearing days are over even though before they changed the sizing, I wore sz 8 for a decade. Sad because I really want these for gardening and everyday wear. |
Question: | I've got an external hdd box with esata port and a mobo with sata ports. Can I boot windows within hdd and box to mobo using this cable |
Answer: | I’ve read everyone’s questions and answers, and it’s still confusing to me. Why the manufacturer states Crocs run true to size when it’s obviously not the case is beyond me. Thinking out loud... I wear a size 8. Medium width. Is this the size that will fit me? Or will it be too small or too large/will I need 7 or 9? It shouldn’t be this difficult to order a pair. Fyi ~ I tried on a friend’s pair, hers are a size 6. They fit me perfectly. 😳 ?? |
Question: | Does it work in reverse? i.e. Can I connect an old internal SATA drive to the eSATA port on my new laptop |
Answer: | The most UGLIEST shoes I have ever in my life had on my feet. But for the reason I got myself a pair of them is I have herniated and bulding discs in my back and the minute I put them on my feet for the very first time it was as if they had (the herniated bulging discs had miraculously went away. I was astonished and grateful. Some had told me they had the same problem and bought a pair of these and helped relieve there back problem too. I have been wearing classic crocs now for I think at least 2 or more years now and even thought I do have my days with my back These are still the most comfortable shoes you can put on your feet. TRUE STORY: Was getting in the car happened to look down at my foot and said OMG then laughed out loud because I was still wearing my house slippers (and we all know how comfortable those are) well those are how comfortable these are. I guess you have to ask yourself how much do you want to wear a comfortable shoe in order to get beyond how these look (atrociously) UUUUUGLY Every single pair I've ever bought is the (KHAKI) because they don't stand out so much. It's not as thought I don't like all the colors they come in I do its just that these are a "wide" looking shoe and if I bought or word the Yellow or Orange the first thing I would think of is "duck feet" OR the RED which I love too but would never ever buy they would just remind me of Clown shoes. You know how kids shoes are small and look really cute well I think these are really cute looking on little kids feet as well as all the colors They can get away with it but adults ok you can wear whatever color you like but remember if you think these shoes are UUUUUGLY buying a pair in a nice bright color is just going to bring a lot of attention to your feet.. No getting around the uuuuglyness of these shoes but depending on your circumstances and need for comfortable shoes YOU CANNOT BEAT THE CROCS FOR THAT !!!! |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a 1tb external hard drive, usb to esata. will this work instead of thay usb cable on the end of also powering the drive |
Answer: | No. This is E-Sata to E-Sata. If your drive has an E-Sata port, it will work, but not provide power. |
Question: | What is the difference between sata and esata |
Answer: | Basicly the "e" stands for external. You will find esata ports on the back of your computer and on some external drives. This lets your external drive operate at the same speed as it would as an internal drive. I use mine for an external drive adapter that lets me use cheaper internal drives externally for the purpose of backups. Note that esata and sata cables are not interchangeable. |
Question: | Will this work to connect a sata hard drive to my esata connector on my motherboard |
Answer: | It will connect your motherboard's eSATA to a bare drive (one not in an enclosure, unless it's an old enclosure with a SATA connector). However, your drive will need power. Here is an external 5v/12v power supply: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000MGG6SC As this power supply has a four-pin Molex connector, you will need an adapter providing a SATA power connector. Get a dual one in case you want to connect multiple drives as it doesn't really cost much more: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009GULE1Y |
Question: | Will this work on a swann nvr8-7400 surveillance system |
Answer: | The answer is that it depends on how you will be attaching an external drive. I took a look at the specs for the swann NVR8-7400 on Swaan's site, and it states the NVR8-7400 has an eSATA port. So, if you buy an external drive enclosure that has an external SATA port (NOT eSATA), then yes, this cable will work. However, most enclosures at present use the more appropriate eSATA port for external SATA connectivity. If this is the case, then you would need an eSATA to eSATA cable, such as B00V6QA282. |

Product description
External SATA (eSATA) cables are designed to connect external SATA devices to either external SATA ports or internal SATA connectors. Unlike cables for internal applications eSATA cabling must be shielded. The eSATA connectors are keyed differently to prevent the use of internal SATA cables in external applications. While internal SATA connectors have an "L" shaped key eSATA connectors use smaller vertically offset keys. This shielded eSATA cable is certified to perform to SATA 6 Gbps performance standards. One end is terminated in an eSATA connector while the other end is terminated with an internal SATA connector. By routing the cable through an opening in the system case you can use eSATA devices with a system that is only equipped with internal SATA ports. Note that SATA 6 Gbps cables are backwards compatible and can be use d with SATA 3 Gbps and SATA 1. 5 Gbps devices.

Question: | Can i plug in an external dual raid drive with this cable? i know its supposed to work fine with regular drives, but what about raid |
Answer: | I measured it and the cable length (not including the length of the plugs on each end) is actually 77 inches - a little longer than the 6ft in the product description. |
Question: | Can anyone confirm if these are actually shielded |
Answer: | It works for mine but, unfortunately, with eSata hardware you won't really know until you hook it up. eSata (and USB cables) are notoriously inconsistent and/or unreliable. There's only one way to be sure... |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this cable support port-multiplier? I want do use this with an older dual bay drive dock |
Answer: | Yes I think it should work. |
Question: | can it power drive or do i need seperate power |
Answer: | This -is- a USB 3.1 cable. Type-C and Micro-B SuperSpeed (the name is inaccurate. The formats are related since micro-B SuperSpeed is micro-B with 5 additional pins allowing you to use a micro-B cable in a micro-B SuperSpeed port but it's important to realize this cable has a micro-B Superspeed connector and it -cannot- be used in a micro-B port) are connector types. There are power standards related to ports as well but while the type-C standard allows more current you will be limited by the lower limit on the micro-b SuperSpeed port. All of that said, Thunderbolt is a completely different format. It uses 20 connectors instead of to 10 used by micro-B SuperSpeed so I can't see how you could use this cable at all. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can it be used to charge macbook pro ? how many 'w' it can carry to laptop? my macbook charging adapter says 61w |
Answer: | No. Both laptops would have to be working. If you need to transfer data from your dead laptop you will need to remove the drive and use an external drive enclosure of some type. If you get an external drive enclosure, make sure it can use a USB cable. After removing the drive from the non-working laptop and installing it in the external enclosure, connect the enclosure to your working laptop. Your laptop should recognize the external drive by an additional drive letter in "Computer." Copying files from one drive to the other is then simple. |
