Answer:	If you consider the bag cylindrical (which it is at the top but trapezoidal at the bottom) its about a 10" diameter and 24" tall. So, pi x radius squared x height = 1,885 cubic inches. Divided that by 61.024 = almost exactly 30 liters. Then you can add the side pockets (each holds a nalgene+, so maybe 1.5 liters each.) The top pocket or "brain" is another liter or so. And the tiny hip pockets are maybe half a liter combined. I'd say counting generously it's at best a 35 liter bag. More honestly a 30 liter bag with space for water and an a map/phone. That said, I love this bag for day hikes. I've had mine in the Olympics, Appalachia, the Rockies and across Europe. It's an excellent minimalist bag.
