I never used it. I just made it tighter. As far as covering the areas you described, the belt goes all the way around the waist, has stays on the side to try to keep it from staying creased. That white oval item on the front is the pad with the big marble sized object in it. It is a thick pad. For me, and I speak for myself, it helped me remember I had to take it easy and from time to time, I pressed the intestine back in. I ended up having the surgery. The belt assisted me in focusing and gave me a bit of comfort. It helped, it is not a cure.

Answer:	That’s a tough one because coolness is so subjective but maybe it will help that I’m in the middle of having hot flashes - I feel like I’m on fire from the inside- and this pillow is fine. It doesn’t make me feel hot or hotter during a hot flash. I like it. It’s cool enough for me.

Answer:	I don't see why it wouldn't, but then again I know nothing about waveless waterbeds.

Answer:	It is made of foam type material, so it would depend on the heaviness of your mattress. My doctor recommended placing a 6-9 inch blocks under the head of the bed, which I did not do. Eventually I found a book on Amazon that helped me the most. It suggested cutting out foods that have an index of high acidity. This really helped w/ reflux + eventually going on a low carb diet & losing a few pounds.
Question:	I'm just not understanding how one is going to sleep on the same side thru an entire night. Am I the only human being that turns while asleep
Answer:	I have an adjustable bed at home and I avoid sliding down by raising the legs. I find that this pillow is excellent for travelling but I still wake up during the night and have to reposition but it is better than trying to stack up 2 or 3 pillows. The length is critical, if it is not long enough you can only raise your head and shoulders which is no use. This pillow is long enough.

Answer:	Yes, you can lay either on your back or on your side. It took me a while to get used to sleeping on the wedge though so you need to be patient. It also helps to put a pillow under your knees if lying on your back. I also find with reflux if I lie on my left side I'm more comfortable.
