I think we used a harness on our dog at first, but he proved too big, strong and eager, so we had to move to a pinch collar which works well for us, and often use this lead with it. If we go into a place where he will be hard to control we use a shorter street lead with a wider hand grip. I like having the options.

Answer: I would not simply because of the metal clip. You could rinse it off with a hose though!

Question: What are weight limits
Answer: My dog weighs 77lbs and he isn't going to rip it away from me anytime. I would imagine 250-350 weight limit would max it out. Very strong otherwise.
