| Answer: | The 2017 model (I have both this one and the generation prior) has a lock on the lid to prevent animals from opening it. The unlock button is small, a bit smaller than the tip of one's finger. My vaguely clever cat has yet to open his feeder or knock it over. The food tray is removable and 'clicks' into the food storage portion, giving a nice base for the unit to stay balanced, even when bumped a bit hard (Some of us are clumsy!). |

It’s a little frustrating since my cats get 1/4 cup which is 4 tbsp. But it must be a recent change. |

| Answer: | It's a very sturdy plastic material. I can put a full 10lb bag of food in it & it holds well. I do have to shake it when my cats eat the food in the bowl part bc it gets wedged in the hole but not to the point where the food won't come out. The bowl is a good 6" circumference so it's big enough for both my cats to eat at the same time. It's easy to take apart & clean too. Definitely a good buy if you feed your pet freely. I work crazy hours so it's nice I can fill it for a week or two without worrying abt them not eating. Hope this helps! |
