Question: Does this work well with an Epiphone Casino
Answer: Yes
Question: Has anyone found it to be low volume on the clean channel? I have to turn it almost all the way up to get it loud
Answer: The aux plays the signal straight out. None of the knobs or functions, including volume, affect what's played through it. It's useful for playing backing tracks to jam to, just remember to adjust the volume on the playback device. I play YouTube videos on my phone through this.
Question: Does this amp have any 'hum' or 'buzz' when it is powered on and idle

User questions & answers

Question: Is it loud enough to play gigs
Answer: I have a VT30 and it is plenty loud to play gigs. I use an amp stand to bring it up to waist level. If you have a big room and or a lot of people, just mic it through the PA system. The best thing about these valvetronix amps are that they are VOX amps. I honestly don't think that I'll buy another Fender amp again.
Question: Does it take well on pedals? (want to use a dunlop cry baby
Answer: This is a great little amp. Plenty of sound. Pedals are not a problem at all.
Question: Mine has a slight constant hiss as soon as you turn it on. Does anyone else have this
Answer: Mine was so noisy I boxed it up and returned it. It had a constant hiss and background noise that went up and down as notes were played and decayed. Not a problem with loud, fast playing but it made slow, soft playing unbearably noisy.
Question: Have demoed several of the vtx range in stores: when you switch between amp models; the volume level jumps violently. anyone know why
Answer: The reason might be that the people who make the patches seem not to care about volume disparity, but the way around it in this case is to max the 'volume' knob, and then use the 'power level' knob as your master volume knob. The volumes between amp models will be more consistent if you do that.

Question: can you plug in a microphone for vocals, and a instrument at the same time

Answer: It weighs 19.6 lbs!
Question: Is there a foot switch for this amp

User questions & answers

Question: Are these dimensions correct? The entire combo amp+ cab is less than 2 feet high? Product Dimensions 7.1 x 12.7 x 23.5 inches
Answer: Yes. Compact cabinet and head (more of a studio/home/practice amp as opposed to a stage rig) but make no mistake, this amp has plenty of power and a beautiful Vox tube sound. I am very happy with it!
Question: is this model equipped with bluetooth
Answer: No this one is not Bluetooth
Question: Can this amp be used to play bass guitar
Answer: You can but the amp is voiced for guitar, it has an upper mid-range bump in it's tone and not conducive for a smooth bass sound. Would recommend the Super Beetle made for bass.
Question: Is this a tube amp or solid state
Answer: It features “Nutube” it’s a modern day vacuum tube technology. It definitely has the desirable vintage Vox tube sound “sparkle”! This amp is more of a home/studio amp and not necessarily a large stage/arena cabinet. I find mine to have plenty of power, is extremely loud and punchy, and has a really great tone in a small package! I can’t recommend it enough!

VOX, 2 electric-guitar-amplifier-combos, Vintage (AC15C1)

Vox

Based on 59 reviews Check latest price

Product description

First introduced in 1958, the AC15 combo has been the amp of choice for countless guitar players throughout the world. Drawing on more than 50 years of amp-building expertise, the AC15C1 Custom Series offers maximum tonal dexterity. VOX Custom Series amps offer two channels: Normal and Top-Boost. Each channel is equipped with its own Volume control, and the Top Boost channel offers highly interactive Treble and Bass tone controls. This powerful channel pairing provides an abundance of tone-crafting control, letting you dial in a classic sound that is all your own. Both channels rely on the Tone Cut and Volume controls in the Master section. The Tone Cut control operates in the power stage rather than the preamp stage, allowing an additional degree of tone-shaping. The Master Volume control works in conjunction with the individual volumes of each channel to create just the right degree of gain-staging. By balancing the individual and Master volumes, the Custom Series can deliver everything from a clean VOX "chimey" sound to a powerful overdriven tone. You can sweeten the sound of your Custom Series amplifier using the VOX Classic Tremolo effect. Both the speed and the depth are adjustable, allowing you to generate just the sound you want. A warm Spring Reverb is also included on all Custom Series amps, adding spaciousness to the sound. All Custom Series amps can use the VOX VFS2 footswitch, allowing you to turn the Reverb and Tremolo effects on and off as you continue to play. The AC15C1 combo makes use of 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and uses pair of EL84 tubes to drive a single 12" Celestion G12M Greenback. All models in the Custom Series offer a switchable 8/16 ohm output jack for powering an external speaker cabinet when you need to speak with a little more authority; using this jack will mute the internal speakers. Additionally, a 2nd extension speaker jack allows you to run an extra 16 ohm cabinet along with the internal speakers for a fuller sound.

  • 10 Watt tube combo offering the classic VOX Top Boost tone
  • EL84 power tubes; 12AX7 preamp tubes
  • Custom 10" VX10 speaker made by Celestion
  • Simple but effective Gain, Bass, Treble, Reverb, and Master Volume controls
  • Extension and External speaker outputs; By-passable Effect Loop, Distinctive VOX Styling. Output Power: 10W RMS

User questions & answers

Question: Can you get that 60's mrb effect on this amp
Answer: Really.... not really. MRB was very specific and only came on Thomas Organ Sepulveda-made Vox amps of the 60's. This is a good amp for the money, but I had to do a lot of tweaking on mine to get where I wanted to go (and I still may not be 100% yet!)
Question: This listing says 2 amps for$700. Can that be right
Answer: It cannot be right. Sometimes these sellers are ESL. The 2 likely refers to the fact that there are two inputs on a Vox AC15; a normal channel and top boost channel input. Maybe the seller thinks this is for playing two guitars at the same time or something? In any case, if you see a deal like this on a Vox tube amp you either got supremely lucky or it’s a mistake.
Question: can you use both channels at the same time
Answer: Yes. I've used the two outputs on my Line 6 HD500 into the two inputs. You get a bassier sound than just the top boost channel.
Question: If I use an A/B switch, does it switch before the individual channel volumen pots (can I get 2 volumes using an A/B switch, like a clean boost
Answer: This amp is not a channel-switching amp and does not accept an A/B footswitch for channel switching; however, you can get an ABY switch, which you will put BEFORE the inputs. What it will do is take the output from your guitar and split it 2 ways. The pedal switch will select which one of the two ways the output will go. Connect one of them to the "normal" input of the amp and the other to the "top boost" channel. Both channels of the amp are always on, but what comes out of the speaker depends on which input you're using. So, your guitar goes to the ABY switch, then depending on which of the Y outputs you've selected, continues to whichever amp input it's connected to. This is effect will give you channel switching. But bear in mind that both amplifier channel inputs are always on.

Question: What kind of power supply does this use? Can I plug into the wall or does it take batteries? I'm not very familiar with amplifiers, thanks

Question: Would this be good for Karaoke (I have a Karaoke Mixer) or for connecting to a Projector to boost the sound
Answer: It depends on the dealer's policy.
Question: Does it come with a wire
Answer: Just received the DWS-3 system today on recommendations from numerous reviews and forums. Plugged it in using my Warwick Thumb 5-string and GK mb500. No discernible difference from using a standard cable. Handled the low B string just fine. I’m confident it will do fine at gig this weekend with GK+SWR Goliath III cab.
Question: Can this amp used for violin? Does it has speakers
Answer: As it is I found that mine did also , after research for a few minutes I found that it was my input jack on the guitar . User questions & answers

Question: Is this vox ac10c1 the one with the celestion greenback speaker
Answer: This amp comes with a celestion speaker. sweetwater sells one with the greenback. I found the stock speaker to sound very good.
Question: Is this a good option for playing around the house at lower volumes
Answer: Yes, it's an excellent option. At 10 watts you can get some good gain without killing your ears or angering your neighbors. AND, you can gig with it at smaller venues as I've done with a 5-piece band. If you need to go louder you can mic this amp and run it through the PA and monitors. But for jamming in your house it's excellent.

Answer: that is internal jack to connect to another set of speakers no to be used on headphones , besides is it mono conection not stereo one you not going to hear in both side
Question: Does the ac10c1 have an effects loop? the description says it does but i can't identify its location on the included pictures turns

Question: loud enough to play with drums and bass? can i gig a small venue with this

Answer: It comes with everything you need so just plug in your guitar and listen to the great tone.

  • An update to the popular VXI, the VX15 GT was born from a desire to open up new possibilities for guitar amps. A design that's almost unreasonably lightweight, an internal structure carefully calculated for the optimal sound, realistic and stage-ready sounds driven by modeling technology. Overturning existing ideas of guitar amps, the VX15 GT will allow you to enjoy playing guitar in any musical scene.
  • Thanks to their many years of developing modeling amps, VOX delivers the ultimate in sound. Proprietary VET (Virtual Element Technology) enables unprecedented realism, reproducing not only the audible result but rethinking the original circuit itself, painstakingly modeling even individual components that affect the sound. In addition to the classic AC30, this one unit covers a diverse multitude of sounds that include famous tube amps, modern high-gain amps, and rare boutique amps.
  • Also included is a full selection of the effect types that are indispensable in shaping your sound. You can simultaneously use both types, modulation and delay/reverb, and choose from four types each, giving you a total of eight variations. This means that you have the ability to add the final touches to shape your overall guitar sound. There's also a tap button, so you can set parameters such as delay time in an intuitive manner.
