The picture makes it look as if they are that same height in the whole inside they are not, they curve up on the sides to fit your foot and shoe with more support. I wear them with boots and gym shoes just fine. But if I put them in lower shoes I feel the shoes are to short and not the right fit. Make sure you remove your old insert first or may be to high.
