Answer:	I washed one that had been packed away dirty last year, and it came out bright and beautiful! (Warm water, gentle cycle)

Answer:	You could use it for that, but it is quite thin. We did use it at a beach for adults to sit on though.

Answer:	I did a youth activity at church every Wednesday through the summer and it held up great, all the handles where fine. I did lend it out to someone and some of the handles came back broke but I'm not sure they took care of it. Hope that helps. Oh and even though a couple handles are broke the kids still have an easy time holding on to it.

Answer:	sorry for the delay I needed to ask my daughter because i bought it for her. She used it at Burning Man - It is somewhat water resistant as it is parachute semi-heavy nylon not as strong as Real parachutes - and prob not strong enough for long term use. I suppose you could coat it with waterproofing substance but thats a lot of surface to cover. Worked great as a shade and slight wind protecting.
