Answer:	I solved this. I would pull the scale out, step on it, and get a first weight that was 3.5 lbs too high. Second weight was right. Turns out I wasn't letting it reset after moving it. Just set the scale on the floor. Tap it or briefly step on it. Let it flicker and then go to 0.0; then when you step on it you'll get the correct weight.

(What I like about it is that it is extremely precise and does not alter reading if you get on and off within a few seconds. Answer:	They (the furnace repair people) recommend changing the filters monthly, regardless if they look dirty to lengthen the life of your unit.

Answer:	This is a good h.d. filter I will buy again when needed and they are as pictured

Answer:	Metal toward flow. As air is sucked in, it should enter through the plain side and exit through the metal side. Flow arrows will indicate this.
Question:	Will it work with fitbits
Answer:	I've been using these for a couple years now. Have been buying them from a different seller, but as long as they are as advertised these are cheaper, and work great. They are your base filter with virtually no pressure drop. They are not the higher MERV rated filters that limit airflow. I've asked many HVAC guys which filter to get and they all say the basic ones unless you you have a reason like allergies because the higher MERV filters cause a pressure drop which causes the equipment to work harder and wear out faster. These filter great, and the metal screen gives them the strength they need to last. Hope that helps

Answer:	I think it is coarse enough that air flow would not be a problem , but I would also think that it would not be very effective at filtering the dust either.

Answer:	not sure how long they last as a primary furnace filter. I use mine in the cold air return ducts as a filter to catch all the dog hair BEFORE it goes into the return duct. I use a standard filter at the furnace. The standard filter is still fairly clean at 3 months(I still replace at 3 months). The Flanders I replace at 3 to 6 months rather than try to wash out the dog hair.
