Answer:	Incandescent bulbs are best for this. Which I believe these are. You may want to look into dirty electricity filters like greenwave, stetzer or static. I haven't tried this but you might also be able to lie down on your stomach in bed and put the heat lamp on the seat of a chair and aim it at your back.

Answer:	A lot of ignorant comments.. it outputs in both infrared and visible light. Most of the output is in fact infrared. Infrared is any heat you feel radiating from the light at a distance. The heat you feel is infrared energy. Infrared = thermal light. The bulb also puts out some visible light in the red color spectrum so it’s not 100% infrared. (Infra-red means below red in the light spectrum.. which is not visible)
Question:	Is this a Teflon-coated bulb
Answer:	I called the Philips Company and asked specifically about this model bulb.I was informed that the company puts a silicon coating on some of their bulbs and that this bulb specifically has has no coating on it.There is a bulb that does have a coating, and it's number 159327.UPDATE:The bulb that I received appears to have a coating on it. Question:	is this a near infrared lamp
Answer:	I am not an expert but I believe it is not a "near infrared" lamp, it's a regular infrared one, like the one I owned and used for years in Europe. By the way this model is an excellent product (sturdy, well designed). worth every penny (or dollar)!
Question:	Is this far-infrared emmitter or just infrared emmitter
Answer:	NO.its running by a normal red low/med frequency range bulb (1000-2700K). So NO FAR IR.
Question:	Deos it provide good heat. Someone commented that it does not give enough warm feeling
Answer:	It is plenty warm. I keep it around 12 inches from my neck aimed at my spine and it relieves so much pain. It takes maybe 5 minutes for the warmth to start going deep; 10 minutes for the "ahhh this feels great" and after 15 minutes that's when I'm really enjoying it andv getting a lot of therapeutic relief. If you keep it on for 30-60m you can start sweating but not always. This isn't designed to make you sweat... NIR is meant to help deep penetrating detox; the good stuff is happening internally, behind the scenes (meanwhile you feel better and better).
Question:	Is this a near infared sauna lamp as opposed to far infared
Answer:	Yes this is near infrared so long as you use the bulb that comes with it or purchase a higher quality like RubyLux (I use RubyLux for this lamp and my Near Infrared Sauna). Near or Far Infrared will be based on which bulb you use with the device.
