Answer:	It's not thick at all. Our door is right over it and it has no problem opening. Other mats were too thick but this one is very thin.

Answer:	Yes you're correct. No backing, just the rubber scroll. I hung it on my back covered patio wall and it looks like a wraught iron wall hanging :)

Answer:	I have mine outside on my patio. It almost never gets wet but is definitely waterproof. It is like a stiff plastic grass and does a great job scrubbing dirt, sand and mud from your shoes. It's not really absorbent so I don't think it will dry your shoes. It is relatively heavy and I don't think it would slide around much unless the floor is really slick. It works very well and has held up extremely well in the Arizona desert.

Answer:	I would say no. We use it while RVing full time and have another outdoor mat that it sits on. The green mat has never left a stain or anything where it has laid. The only thing is if it is wet, it leaves a wet mark but that's with any other mat I've owned.

Answer:	Not sure what you mean by 'waterproof' but I would say sort of? We had a big rainstorm come through and the 'Home Sweet Home' mat was fine, but it did discolored the black and white mat a little. You can easily wash it though and I think it would come out, and you can't really tell if you don't move it. Both mats are meant to be outside though. I really like these mats and recommend buying them, you CANNOT beat the price.
