So if you going to use your computer outside, in southern Florida, in the rain, over twenty years, then use steel rivets. If not, use these rivets - which are awesome!

Answer:	The rivets are aluminum. The steel shanks are steel. They help squash the aluminum rivet head much tighter than if your shank was made of aluminum.

Answer:	I believe that they will work for your size but the best thing to do is ask Tandy Leather directly and let them respond to you. I have bought several items from Tandy Leather online and have not been disappointed.

Answer:	3/8ths inch or smaller rivet heads. The setter itself is exactly 3/8ths inch. The anvil is much larger.
Question:	How sturdy are these rivets? I need something that can permanently secure two pieces of leather and withstand moderate tugging
Answer:	I don’t know. If you measure the thickness of your leather with a caliper you should be able to compare that to the mm measurement of the rivets. You need very very little to push the cap on and set it. Maybe 1mm at the most.
