Answer:	I don’t know what people mean by “a lot” of assembly. You slide in the back axle, attach the back wheels with a pin. Then 8 very easy screws for the front axle attachment and pop on those wheels. Turn it over, put in the seat with 2 screws and pop in a bunch of accessories. If you can follow the directions on the book, the 14 screws, 6 washers and 4 pins take about an hour and a half from opening box to being cleaned up.

Answer:	Toy was gift, so seat height is a guess -- but maybe 12 - 18inches. Definitely not more. I bought two (for twins). At 13 months, they each needed to be pushed -- but loved riding. They are now 19 months, and both have, for some time, been using their feet to push toy.

Answer:	Probably yes to both. My great-grandson is 3 1/2 and he just started to reach the pedals this past summer. I also think pedaling would be pretty difficult for a one year old. I've seen some similar riding toys without pedals that might work better.
