Answer:	I don't think that it expires at least within the next 5 years as long as you don't keep it somewhere too hot or too cold. Smell it as soon as you get it, if the smell changes then discard it.

Answer:	I boil mine once before I start using the cup at the beginning of my period and use the wash to clean my cup between emptying out its contents during my period. The boiling just ensures that any remaining microbes are killed that might have been hiding in any nooks or crannies where the wash didn't get to. The wash should work fine if you do a good job of cleaning it. I think it's a personal preference of how much of a germophobe you are:) hope this helps.
