Answer:	Yes. Real wood. Precisely cut and holes where they belong. I did treat it with waterproofing (Thompson's). I like the quality and size. Answer:	We purchased 2 of them for our twin grandchildren when they were between 18 months and 2 years old. They use them daily and love them, they'll soon be 3! Great fun and good coordination builder!

My adult daughter is small..and under 5 ft..and can sit on it to eat. But a tall adult would probably not be comfortable sitting at it.It is an awesome table designed for young children.
