Answer:	a DOT is the brightest, LINE is second brightest, CROSS has a fade because the Second Line has to go through more internal mirrors to be formed from one Laser Beam. All of them Fade because they are not perfectly straight lines and the Horizontal line is the Second Line formed in this device. In a bathroom it worked perfectly for lining up tile on all the walls across from each other as well as the same walls. Your not using it to build a watch at a 100 feet.

Answer:	the product will project 360 degrees on one axis, and 120 degrees on another, (they make an "X"). So if you want to line up your recessed lights in one or two directions, you would point the "X" toward the ceiling. I recommend getting a tripod or telescoping mount for mounting flexibility.

Answer:	Whatever eye protection that makes you feel comfortable. I do not wear eye protection because I know not to stare directly into the laser. Looking at the lines the laser projects on other objects, will not damage your eyes in any way.
