Answer:	You can make a cord with the four prong male to a 3 prong female. You plug the welder into 3 prong and the male 4 prong to dryer outlet. You need to only connect 3 wires on the 4 prong. The ground and x and y, the z is for 110v used by the dryer for the control panel and the light. So this does not get hooked up. You can use 3 prong plug in a 4 prong outlet but you can’t do the reverse. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Commercial mobile user says: I run this off of generators and it will need approximately 6K to run smoothly. Yes, you could run it at 5K, but not smoothly, or at max amperage, or for very long. A gasoline 5200watt generator CAN do some LIGHT work. To really maximize this unit for field use I have had to hook it up to an 11k (peak) 7k (running) Generac. In this configuration, it has welded a mile of perfect bead. I can flux MIG 3/8 plate in the field with a 60% duty cycle. (Where I live it is FREEZING most of the year, so I actually can weld without fear of shutoff, but if you live in a hot climate especially, definitely respect the duty cycle.) Long story short, although this is a small and light in weight machine... it is a lil beast and can go through some power.

Operation panel description

A1-WELDING CURRENT-indicates the output welding current in AMPS.

A2-ARC FORCE-indicates the ARC force current from 1% percentage to 10% percentage.

-STICK AND LIFT TIG-

1. press and hold A9 for 2 seconds,the light of stick welding will be twinkling,then release and press A9 to switch into lift tig welding mode.
