Answer:	Hello, thank you for asking. we are pretty sure that the paint non the tea set as well as all other Delton Products are Lead-free, but have asked the company for verification. Elton has been in business since et 1980's and has sold thousands of products in the US during that time. As the US Government is so strict on lead-free requirements, they would probably not be in business in the US if they were not in compliance. There is a warning for small parts, not for ages under 3 on the gift tag attached to the handle of each basket.
