Answer:	No, the LEGO Boost software and hardware is not designed to be functional with the LEGO Mindstorms software or hardware.

Answer:	although Lego says Kindle Fire 7 2017 works with the app, we found it to not work with our brand new 7th generation Fire 7s. The app either kicks us out or freezes repeatedly, on two devices. We had to use my smartphone as a platform instead. I am actually very surprised if others have no issues with the Fire 7

Answer:	As of February 4, 2020, I was able to get the Lego Boost app on my child’s Amazon Fire Tablet!! It took me a minute to figure it out: In my profile on her tablet, I had to disable the ”Parental Controls”, then and only then was I able to download the app Lego Boost. Then, I turned the ”Parental Control” feature back on, while still in my profile, I went to ”Manage Child’s Profile”, “Add Content”, ”Share”, and then I was able to select which apps I wanted to show up on her profile. The Lego Boost app was one of those. Then I logged out of my profile and into hers, voilà there was the Lego Boost app on her profile and it works! Whew!

And also make sure you let your bricks air-dry - no hot dryers as the temperature can make bricks change their shape. For example, make sure to have them in plain water - water that has chemicals in it (like pools) might not be good for the bricks. You'll also want to make sure the water isn't too hot, as that can make the plastic change shape. Lastly, always dry your bricks with a cloth, or let them air dry. Answer:	No, it is not motorized. It only has 1 lighted block that the robot uses to point and shine (manually). Plus the tracks come off the gears pretty easy in normal play.

Answer:	Well it has quite a few unique lego pieces but some are pretty common that he could swap out for another color or similar parts. Like all Legos, they are pretty flexible to change.

Answer:	Your set is not defective. Mine came with the Track3R also. To get the other sets, you need to go to the website on page 39 and download the free program ( lego.com/mindstorms ) to get the rest of the directions. It is a little confusing, stick with it, it is fun.

Answer:	Not sure if this systems support C/C++ java or Python.
Question:	Is the EV3 kit compatible with parts (motors, sensors, building pieces) from NXT 1 and NXT 2 kits
Answer:	To clarify from the previous answers, the older motors and sensors from the NXT 1.0 and NXT 2.0 kits will work with the EV3 intelligent brick, motors and sensors (though the newer EV3 motors and sensors are superior). Conversely, the EV3 motors and sensors cannot be controlled by the older NXT 1.0 and NXT 2.0 intelligent bricks. Additionally, the older NXT software cannot program the newer EV3 hardware (though the new software comes with this kit anyway). Answer:	The knees do not bend. The shoulders swivel and rotate internally & externally, elbows bend & swivel, the flags atop the head have a large range of motion and the legs move at the hips, ankles & feet. Drills also spin. My son is 10, he rates it an 8 out of 10 for playability. (He is the Lego Whisperer)

I suggest that you can use the battery to test whether it works after the gearbox is assembled and then assemble the robot completely. If it can't walk in the sun, it may be the solar panel's problem.
