Answer:	I have had mine on for 1 1/2 year and take it off occasionally to wash. No damage yet. It is sooo sticky that I left a major part of the bottom of the pad covered so as to not be as hard to remove and not cause as much damage if it should occur (which it has not). My car is in a garage most of the time, but it was in the blazing Utah sun for 10 days with no problem. It works GREAT and I'm so glad I had it for a 4000 mile road trip. Fits in the top dash cubby of my Subaru Forester perfectly.

Answer:	Yes I believe so. It keeps the kids intrigued safely. My daughter was 5 when I got it. It was so she could write and draw with a little pizazz during down time instead of a digital screen. The kids like the “ light” aspect of it. Good idea from the makers of this kid friendly gadget!
