Answer:	The current draw is high in the brighter modes so you need high discharge cells with low internal resistance. Cheap cells with high IR will quickly overheat and lose whatever small capacity they might have had. However be aware that most high discharge LiIon batteries marketed specifically for super flashlights are grossly marked up ($20 to $30+ per cell) . Don't buy from such places. You are being ripped! I buy all my batteries from IMRbatteries.com. Look for cells that are rated for 10 amps or more. I use flat top unprotected Sanyo 18650GA cells almost exclusively in all my flashlights because I already buy them in bulk to build up packs for extreme long range fixed wing drones. They are high discharge (10 amps) and have the highest HONEST capacity rating (3450 mah) for the price. The flat top cells start at $5.50 each and drop in price rapidly if you buy in bulk. They also have a button top version for a buck more and protected button top for a buck-fifty more. If you really think you need more current, IMR has many 18560 cells rated at 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 an even 40 amps. Be aware that when you start asking even more extreme discharge current, the capacity is going to drop rapidly and/or the price is going to go up. Even so, a 2000mah 30 amp cell, or 3000mah 20 amp flat top cell can be bought for about the same price ($5.50).

Answer:	It would get really warm after an hour anything less was fine. It was never to the point I had to let it go. I've had other brands that would feel you can cook an egg on, I never had that problem with this one

Answer:	Yes a USB power bank could be used as it would be the same charge from a power plug - the adapter on the flash light is a USB plug setup - the charge last a very long time but I have a USB power pack I have used once - just a little bit bulky to use both - I had to set both down but did have the extra time.

Answer:	Really? As opposed to what daylight? Yes it works at night.

Answer:	I never had the smaller one, but I bought the bigger one for two reasons, the light "lumens" was much larger, if I remember correctly, and the battery inside was also much larger. Those two things motivated me to buy the larger light. Since you can use the battery to charge your cell phone, thus the advantage of the larger battery, and when I want light like this, not a simple flashlight, I want large amount of light, so I bought the larger one. It is not that heavy. The only thing I would change is the actual color of the flashlight body, because the body is all black it is hard to see in the dark. So, I am going down to my local hardware store and buy some reflect tape to make the thing easier to see, it is no good if I can find it once the power goes off. I hope this helps.
