Answer:	I have this PVC termination kit on my takagi unit. I used PVC piping 3" or 4" per the takagi manual. The tankless water heater will come with 2 PVC couplers. Buy PVC piping and elbow bends as needed. You can hook up all the exhaust piping using PVC.

Question:	Can I use my existing Insinkerator stainless steel sink flange with the WK L
Answer:	Years ago I tried to use the existing flange. I must have had a problem enough to go out in the garbage and replaced the original with it. Since then and over the past 60 some odd years, every time I had to replace, I used what was provided for by the manufacturer even if it was the same manufacturer.
Question:	What is the difference in the 3200 and the 9940? Both are 3/4hp but the top of the unit appears different
Answer:	The 3200 has an "EZ Mount." This mount system is easier to install, hence its name, and is made out of aluminum. It has a removable splash guard that makes it easier to clean thoroughly. The 9940 has a 3-Bolt Mount made out of stainless steel which is stronger. However, it does not have a removable splash guard.
Question:	My current disposer is hard wired in and I see this unit comes with an extension cord/plug. Is it possible to hard wire this one in if removing cord
Answer:	Yes, it's possible...but not easy. Just finished doing it myself. You can pop the bottom off easy enough to get to where the wires connect. The problem is, where the cord goes into the unit, there's some sort of rubber grommet, that makes it impossible to get to the old cord out. You have to cut that grommet out, and then you have to provide your own metal cord clamp to put in the resulting hole. Not impossible, if you know what you're doing...but not easy. In hindsight, I should have just wired an outlet to my switch, and then plugged this directly in to that outlet.
Question:	what is the difference between waste king 3300 and 3200 - they seem the same
Answer:	Based on their website, the 3300 is a bit bigger and heavier, draws more current (6 amps v. 4.5) and has a 10-year warranty, compared to 8 years for the 3200. So, it likely has a beefier motor.

Answer:	Hard wire so it works off of the switch beside your sink. I have never heard of an electrical outlet under the sink. So the power cord is throwing me! Our last disposal was hard wired like the one it replaced. So....I dont know why they are all coming with power cords now.

Answer:	This is simple to replace, no need to hire a plumber. The tool you need that will help the most is a car jack which comes with most car. Spend 5-10 minutes reading the installation manual along with studying the parts of the way your old disposer looks installed, take a couple of pictures before uninstalling. Remember how you uninstall it, and perform the steps in reverse and follow the installation manual. Remove the old wire which needs a little brute force, and install it to the new disposal unit. When ready to install the new disposal unit, place the car jack under the new disposal unit and jack it up close to the connection under the sink and use the included wrench to tighten the unit to the under sink connection until it clicks. I didn't replace the sink connector, but it shouldn't be hard to replace if you follow the instruction manual. Goodluck!
Question:	I have a badger 5 it is leaking water at bottom near reset bottom plus does a new one came with a ss ring for inside the sink
Answer:	We have the same problem. Our disposal is an In Sink Erator Badger 5 that was installed 10-4-05. We just discovered that it is leaking at the same place your unit is leaking. It came with a 2 year warranty, and is now almost 8 years old. I have not yet called a plumber. My best guess is that we will have to replace it, unless someone provides a better solution to the problem. For info - Our cost for the unit in 2005 was: Parts - $84; Labor - $105.50; total cost - $189.50

Answer:	This particular unit comes with a cord with a plug. You plug it into a switched wall socket to operate. But you can buy a version that is meant to be hard-wired to a switch, and that can switch can be an air switch as much as it can be anything else. I think ANY disposal can be used with an air switch if wired properly.

Answer:	Septic systems do NOT like to have any solid foods put down them. That said, if you are going to install one on a septic tank, this one is as good as any. Yes, this unit comes with a power cord with a standard 3-Prong 120v plug.
Question:	I am looking for a unit that will be direct wired (no outlet). Will this unit work
Answer:	I direct wired it but it wasn't easy to remove the plug. I ended up having to cut the cord and mutilate the grommet the cord went through in order to get it out. In my opinion if there's one without a cord that's a few dollars more I'd buy that one.

Question:	Does anyone have the problem of the the EZ install version vibrating loose, since it is mounted with plastic parts
Answer:	I have a Sinkmaster 550 that I installed over 30 years ago. It looks identical to this Waste King, same EZ- Mount too. Mine did work loose, and I discovered it about a year ago. LOL. I noticed calcium stains on the disposal when I was replacing the dishwasher. I was able to tighten it back up by hand. If this thing gets loose or dies before I do, I will use blue thread locker.
Question:	I need to replace an insinkerator badger 5. would this be able to b installed easily where the old one was w/o having to reinstall the drain partstall
Answer:	We had a Waste King in our home with the "EZ-Mount" attachment. (The black plastic part at the top of the photo.) The EZ-Mount sounds great -- no tools are required, and you simply turn a large plastic fitting until it is tightly fastened to your sink. Unfortunately, however, there is no way to prevent the fitting from coming loose. It repeatedly loosened up under our sink, which caused water leaks that damaged the cabinet. I switched to an Insinkerator Evolution with a standard 3-bolt mount. The Evolution costs a bit more, but it is very quiet. After I installed it, I had to turn the water off to make sure it was running! (The Waste King sounded like most disposals -- a loud rumble and roar.) So... whatever brand you buy, look for the standard 3-bolt mount. It is easy to install and does not loosen. Regarding the drain, every disposal has a slightly different drain height. This is typically easy to adjust with the plastic plumbing used for most modern installations. You can probably loosen the tube (by hand) that connects to your Badger and adjust it for your new disposal. Question:	versus 300 seems to be the difference, but did anyone do research on InSinkErator Evolution Excel before deciding on this product
Answer:	I've replaced more InSinkErators in my life - probably one for each year of your life. I've bought them from Amazon, Big Box stores, Plummer's Supply, etc. - If I got 2 years out of them I considered it a success. So far, I gotten 3+ years out of my 1HP Waste King, and it's still going strong. Go with the aste King and not the sales pitch.
Question:	My existing disposal is hard-wired (not plugged into the wall) Can I hard wire Waste King or do I need to install outlet
Answer:	I've installed five Waste King disposals in the last three years for friends and family, and I have found it easier to just install an outlet to plug the disposal into. Turn off power to the existing disposal, use the wire (if it's Romex) that's already there, buy a surface-mount box, outlet, and an outlet cover - then wire it in, install the new disposal, and plug it in. I think it's much easier than trying to direct-wire the new disposal with (what is usually very stiff) Romex. Also this way you can then use a disposal air switch control that plugs into this new outlet, and then your disposal cord plugs into that. Since your old disposal is most likely controlled by a wall switch, just leave the switch in the "on" position and from then on use the air switch.
Question:	What does "lifetime" mean. If I am 25 and it konks out when I am 50, what do I get? Is it pro-rated
Answer:	This is the best. I bought mine in 2013 (5 years ago) and its worked perfectly, until a couple of days ago, it would not start. Power to GFCI plug on, reset button tripped. When I reset the button, it came on about 1/2 second and stopped. Troubleshooting indicates the brushes on the electromagnetic motor need replacement. I called Anaheim customer service (the company that manufactures Waste King and all they needed was the original purchase date, my name, and the serial number from the unit. A brand new replacement unit should arrive in a couple of days. Zero charge for the unit or shipping fee. They offered to have a plumber come install it too, also no charge, however, since I’m pretty handy, I don’t need that. The total time on the call to resolve the warranty replacement was about 15 minutes, due to an approximate 3 minute wait time to speak to the representative. All is needed to complete the warranty process is the serial number tag from the existing unit and the serial number from the new one, mailed back in to Anaheim Manufacturing. Easy peasy!! Great service and they stand behind the lifetime warranty!
Question:	Has any one had problems with the "easy mount" on a SS sink? The cushion mount slipped out of the mount ring on the second day.Is vibration a problem
Answer:	The Easy Mount doesn't seal well on a SS sink. I've had a plumber out a couple of times to remedy the sink seal. Last fix was a couple of years ago and we just discovered it's leaking again.
