Question:	whats the watt it puts out
Answer:	We have a 6 quart Presto that was made sometime in the early 1970's. Finally got to the point where it would not seal and I replaced the overpressure plug and seal ring, now works perfectly again: pot roasts up to 5 pounds in 1 hour, delicious and tender, even with cheap chuck roasts. You won't be disappointed. Buy the 8 quart. If you buy the smaller 4 or 6 quart, you will soon wish you had bought the 8 quart model. The way to use this for pot roasts: Use enough water to just cover the trivet plus maybe an extra cup or two. Arrange all your ingredients inside with the roast on the bottom and potatoes on top. Lock the lid in place, then run the stove burner at maximum until the water is boiling (you will be able to hear it boiling in there), and the steam pressure has built to the point that it lifts the vent weight and starts it jiggling, then turn the heat down to medium. Watch the weight for a few minutes. You want the heat just high enough to keep the weight jiggling a little, but not so much that it's venting lots of steam. As soon as the water is boiling and pressure starts to build, set your timer to 45 minutes for a small roast (2~3 pounds) or 60 minutes for a big one (5~7 pounds). When the cooking is done, turn the stove off and wait for the pressure to drop - this will take several minutes. To test, lift the vent weight slightly with a fork or spoon, and if it doesn't gush steam, the pressure has dropped enough to lift the weight off completely and open the lid.After a few years, the cooker may develop a leak somewhere under the rim of the lid and refuse to build pressure. This is a sign that's it's time to replace the sealing ring and overpressure safety plug, which you will buy as a set, based on the model number of your cooker. Fortunately, Presto is a company that seems committed to maintaining even it's older products, and you can still buy sealing ring and pressure plug kits for cookers manufactured in the '50's and '60's. They haven't changed that much; I guess it's a design that works so well, there's been no reason to change it. That rocking vent weight is foolproof, and simple, and it guarantees that as long as the Earth's gravity doesn't change, the pot will operate at a maximum of 15 psi.CAUTION: In the unlikely event that the cooker is allowed to run dry, either through not enough water being used, or being forgotten on the stove until all the water has boiled out the vent, the unit must be discarded. The safe working pressure of an aluminum pressure cooker could be significantly degraded if the cooker were to be overheated much beyond it's normal operating temperature of 250º. If it were to burst at normal working pressure, on a subsequent use after being overheated, anyone nearby could be seriously injured by scalding water or flying metal debris.

Answer:	I have the 8 qt Presto aluminum pressure cooker-love it, a recent purchase. I wonder if that happens because of the aluminum. I used it once for a potato ragu with sirloin beef: yum!! Hadn't cooked that in a couple of years.Where I'm from people love Magnalite aluminum pots. Except for my Presto, I don't use aluminum pots because of acidic foods like spaghetti sauce that could leach out the aluminum. Will probably get the Presto 6 qt stainless pressure cooker next.

Answer:	Rotary motor...and all clippers I've have get hot. I have a $300 plus professional single speed clipper..it's a horse..just like my vet has..and it get hot also. It's the friction of the two part blade system that heat them..not the motor. There's a product called H-42 Clean Clippers Blade Cleaner. Pour some into a small bowl, dunk just the blades into it with clipper running. That will clean, lubricate, and cool the clipper. I keep about a half inch in a Tupperware type container and reuse it over and over. The hair and whatever contaminates which was retained by the blades settles. When the level becomes low enough I need to add some, I dump it and start fresh. I bought quart and It's lasted years. Blades are fresh, clean, lubed and cool..and no more oil. That ain't all bad.

Answer:	I’m not sure if it’s 100% stainless and free of aluminum, as you asked. However, I can say there is no nonstick coating. Love this pan and rack. Perfect size for so many things.

Answer:	Yes, it warps in the oven at high heat but flattens to its original shape when it's taken out of the oven and cooled... which is weird. lol With the rack, it's good for baking chicken, bacon, pork chops, etc. It is not good for baking cookies. I've also used it for roasting vegetables in the oven. It's a relatively decent pan. Not the best, not the worst... just OK. I use it about once per week.
Question:	Can this handle 500 degrees

Question:	How high is the rack above the pan when in use
Answer:	Before cooking on racks in pans, spray top and bottom of racks with shortening . If the dishwasher does not clean racks sufficiently, try the following. As soon as you remove food from the racks, place racks in hot soapy water in sink. Wait a few minutes then clean soapy end with scrubbie or brush and flip so that opposite end is in water and repeat the process. It is important not to let racks cool too much or dry before cleaning.
Question:	Cleaning is the big problem. Food sticks and very hard to get off. any suggestions
Answer:	1/2 in. square. I use them in my smoker for jerky and have not had a problem of anything falling through.

Answer:	As Curly says, they are aluminum over steel. I am notorious for having strange outcomes with my baking. These cookie sheets make me look like I know what I'm doing. No problem with rust or discoloration.

Answer:	Amazon lists two sizes for the same item, choose when purchasing. I use the "Medium" size, 15 x 10 x 1 (14.75 x 9.75 x 1 on the product insert). The pan is flared. My personal measurement is 15.5 x 10.5 at the top.

Answer:	Hi, Jessika. Pan is 17 5/8 inches long and 12 13/16 inches wide from outer rim to rim.

Answer:	Does the spray have Lecithin in it? (That’s the stuff that bakes on hard and is like glue on a pan.) I use lite olive oil and a silicon brush to spread it around. You could even get a spritzer fill with olive oil. (Would be cheaper than canned olive spray. :) Hope that helps. These are better than using aluminum sheets! aluminum absorbs into the body and lodged in the brain.

Question:	What is the silicone mat made of? Is it 100% silicone
Answer:	I suppose you could although I would use the bottom part of a broiler pan. Easier to work with and can hold the meat more securely. The checkered half sheet pan is certainly sturdy but the broiler pan allows me to turn or baste more easily.

Answer:	I’ve used this pan and rack to make thick sliced bacon and chicken wings @ 400 degrees and higher and never had any warping or twisting. Love it. Got rid of my other thin baking sheets. 👨🏻‍🍳

Answer:	For Hormel Black Label Bacon - Preheat oven (convection roast) to 350 degrees. Cook for 20 minutes then check for desired doneness. Really depends on your oven, whether it's convention, and how thick the bacon is. This pan is awesome for bacon and ESPECIALLY for reverse searing Ribeye steak. Best steak ever. Better than anywhere I've ever gone for steak.

Question:	Are these solid red or do they have a design on them
Answer:	I sure think it could work very well for lasagna if you were to support the pans on a baking sheet. They are just aluminum foil pans.
