Answer:	It comes with a 4 3/8 blade. A 4 1/2 blade for 20mm arbor can be used. Most 4 1/2 blades are 7/8, 20mm or 5/8 arbor with a bushing to fit the different sizes. A 4 1/2 blade is a tight fit. I knock out the 5/8 arbor, set the blade in place, then put in the 20mm bushing and seat it with the mandrel nut. You can get the blade on with the 20mm bushing installed with a bit of jiggering.

Answer:	Hi. CORRECTED ANSWER: I measured the depth on my blade (which is slightly worn) and it is 1-5/16 inch (1.32 inch) for a straight up cut. For an angled cut, it will be less of course. I used it to cut through floor tile with a concrete/metal mesh base layer. There is absolutely no room in the blade guard to try an even slightly larger blade. It is a tight fit. The saw performs well and is easy to control as long as it is used with water flow. I tried to use it dry, and in less then a minute the whole house was filled with a thick cloud of dust.

Answer:	Yes, it will work. I own this saw and have ripped 24" tile within 1/16" accuracy. You'll just need to take it slow given the thickness of your tile. The blade that comes with it is quite capable, however I eventually switched mine out for a Pearl P4. Excellent saw and a pleasure to use.

Answer:	I would say 1:4, if you are cutting porcelain that thick take it slow, natural stone will cut easier. I highly recommend this saw, I use it for small jobs, it’s really great in tight spaces. In my opinion it’s the better of the smaller wet saws as I prefer a rolling table for more accurate cuts. I however use an MK on my bigger jobs and large format tile and stone and it’s a beast with no limitations but cost about 10x what this saw cost. I do a lot of baths and kitchens and I love it!
Question:	Alway problems substituting other brand blades - and can't find PC replacement blades - can anyone confirm good to excellent substitute
Answer:	I've tried several after market blades with this saw. The problem I've experienced is the original PC blade produces a slightly wider cut, allowing the tile to get past the guard support in the back. The blades I've tried produce a thinner cut that prevent the tile from passing around the guard support. I'll try the Pearl P4 7 inch to see if it works, although 50$ is a gamble I'd rather not bet on.

Answer:	It can cut glass but without buying a blade specifically for glass tiles you might be disappointed. Every tile installer I know has several different blades always on hand for the abundance of materials thrown at him. Glass Master is a good glass blade and manual cutters often do excellent. With the stock blade you will get some chipping along the cut. Which could be polished out with extra effort. If you can handle chipping go for it.

Answer:	Yes. I drilled ceramic and marble tile. Just a suggestion you should look at a drill guide and glass cutting oil. The instructions say tilt the bit to start the hole but the bit will walk so the guide stabilizes the bit on the glass and makes a much cleaner cut. Answer:	It'll probably "work" but I doubt you'll like the results. It'll be slower going, and going thru anything much more than 3/4 inch would not work. It's pretty inexpensive, so you could give it a shot and not be out much, but there's better tools for that job. The metal is not the hardest and I bent the center pin on one stone cut, got sloppy, so this is probably not an improvement over whatever you're using now.

Answer:	Can't see why not. Look online for Garmin-compatible charts, whether from Garmin or not. (My hiking map, with contours and more trails than the USGS maps, was a free download! Look around.) The eTrex models are waterproof, which is a plus. Think seriously about the display size, though. The whole unit fits in the palm of your hand, and its display is only a couple inches high. (See the specs. I might be off a little.) We hikers and hunters can stop and consult the unit, then start walking again. Your boat might travel quite a distance while you peer at that tiny screen, even with the engine stopped. Just a thought.Garmin obviously had boaters in mind when they programmed this, regardless of its size. It even has a "Man Overboard" function that instantly records its current location, then displays the distance and direction back to there while you turn the boat around. It shows tides, too, at whatever tide stations are close to you. Bottom line: it will do everything you need (I think) and do it all day and on into the next morning on a pair of AA cells, but your eyes will ask you why you didn't buy something with a bigger screen.

Question:	this saw comes w/a diamond blade. would it be good enough to cut little glass mosaic tiles or should I order a different diamond blade
Answer:	The blade will cut through the glass tiles just fine, however, I would suggest purchasing a thinner more durable blade. I purchased a Ridgid 7" blade from Home Depot. The Ridgid blade make cleaner cuts and wastes less material because it is a thinner blade.Also, Skil just came out with a new updated model of this saw. I would suggest purchasing that saw instead because it has some much needed improvements. Question:	What is the biggest size of tile this saw can be used for to do diagonal cuts
Answer:	am sure you can cut even 24x24 in. tile. to cut straight get 1x1x 20--24 in, wood and clamp under the table as your guide to cut straight,hope this will help. skil power tools are great and cheaper than MK
Question:	Would this be a good saw to cut rocks in half
Answer:	Depends on the size of the rock. The material is not an issue -- I use it to cut agates and quartz up to a couple inches in size. The important thing is to go slow and make sure to keep the cut wet.
Question:	Will this saw cut peanut brittle? We are currently struggling with the batch we just made and we need to find a good way to cut it
Answer:	i'M SORRY, BUT NO THIS WILL NOT CUT THE BRITTLE. this saw was designed for tile, brick and old tootsie rolls only. the reason tht is, the hamsters in the the motor are allergic to peanuts and a few other foods. seeing as how we all love fluffy hamsters, they gave them work instead of turning them away( that and hamsters have a ton of kids!!). the saw you are looking for has gophers in the drive motor( 2 x's the power for those thick piece's of brittle), that have been thoroughly screened for any deadly allergies to tree nuts and dairy, not to mention sock puppets and shoe polish as well. i do suggest that if you are going to buy the gopher powered brittle slicer 3000xlr made by Skill'dG( skilled gophers), to make sure you are getting the real thing, and not a cheap australian clone. contact the gopher union work force development office and they will give you a list of all non gopher supported and wallaby knock offs and a wallet sized card for easy recognition of their branded products. They may ask for a donation, but it's well worth the $120 to join their non members club. You get free holes in your green, and much, much more. Question:	Is the current model that is shipping type 1 or type 20. If you look up the parts diagram the type 20 has a different slide mechanism part number
Answer:	I bought a new one today from a lumberyard and it is a Type 1. (says right on the sticker on the motor) Not sure if that means the slide mechanism is better or worse than the Type 20. I would assume it was made in 2014 because there is a "Dewalt use only" tag on the box which starts with 2014. Not sure if a "fresher" saw is a Type 20
Question:	Can xps be added, i know dewalt makes a kit to add it to some saws, but this model was not listed
Answer:	mmToolparts actually sells a kit (3 proprietary DeWalt parts + their wiring harness) for less than $70. They have videos on their website that show how to install the parts on DW716, DWS779, and DWS782 saws. You will need some additional tools (torx screw drivers or torx bits, wire strippers/cutter/crimper) and somewhat mechanically inclined. Just google "DWS779 xps light kit" and they should be the top result. This might be an easier option versus going to a DeWalt service center in the post pandemic world.
Question:	Does this miter saw come with a laser or any guiding system
Answer:	It does not come with any laser for guidance. You may find my answer a bit crude, I've been using miter saws for many years and the best guiding system I found to work is my/your eyes. Having lasers or no lasers you still need to use your eyes to get the work piece spot on near the cutoff point. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is there an LED cut line
Answer:	You can add the LED light to this saw. Not a laser but a shadow light that show exactly where the saw blade will cut. I just did it last night. Parts can be had for about $70. This basically turns it into a model 780 which is much more expensive. Pretty simple to add.

Answer:	yes, this is how I am using it too. I have two wired computers on the WD switch which then connects to a wired port on the wireless router. All work fine.
Question:	Would one of these bee good for cutting nails. I have wood shingles nailed on my house I'm trying to salvage
Answer:	I'm not positive. The manufacturer is a bit cagey, merely listing the ports as "high, medium and low" without stating the actual bandwidth. I believe the switch has two 1 Gbs ports, four 100 Mbs ports and two 10 Mbs ports.

Answer:	I used the high priority port to my main router. I put my printers and garage door gateway and Magic Jack on the low ports
