DeWalt 15-gauge finish nailers are a type of power tool commonly used in construction and woodworking applications. These nailers are designed to drive 15-gauge finish nails into various materials, providing a secure and professional finish. Here's what you should know about DeWalt 15-gauge finish nailers:

  1. Nail Size: These nailers are specifically designed to accommodate 15-gauge finish nails. The 15-gauge nails are thicker and more robust than some other types of finish nails, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

  2. Applications: DeWalt 15-gauge finish nailers are versatile tools commonly used for tasks such as installing baseboards, crown molding, trim work, window casings, door frames, and other finish carpentry work. They can also be used for attaching decorative elements and paneling.

  4. Pneumatic and Cordless Models: DeWalt offers both pneumatic and cordless 15-gauge finish nailers.Pneumatic nailers require an air compressor for power, while cordless models are powered by rechargeable batteries. Cordless models offer greater mobility and flexibility.

  5. Depth Adjustment: Many DeWalt 15-gauge finish nailers come equipped with depth adjustment features. This allows you to control how deep the nails are driven, ensuring a flush finish without damaging the material.

  6. Magazine Capacity: These nailers typically have a magazine that holds multiple nails, reducing the need for frequent reloading. The capacity varies by model, so you can choose one that suits your project requirements.

  7. Durability: DeWalt is known for producing durable and reliable power tools. Their finish nailers are constructed with quality materials to withstand the demands of professional use.

  8. Safety Features: DeWalt finish nailers often include safety features like trigger locks and anti-dry fire mechanisms to prevent accidental discharges and protect the user.

  9. Compatible Fasteners: While these nailers are designed for 15-gauge finish nails, they may also be compatible with other similar-sized fasteners, providing additional versatility.

  10. Brand Reputation: DeWalt is a well-respected brand in the power tool industry, known for its commitment to quality and performance. Users often trust DeWalt products for their reliability and durability.

In summary, DeWalt 15-gauge finish nailers are essential tools for professionals and DIY enthusiasts involved in finish carpentry and woodworking projects. User questions & answers

Question: Is it brushless
Answer: I believe that it is brushless. I have 2 of the nail guns and they are great. Works fast and sets the nails ever time. Battery lasts a long time as well.
Question: Just got the nail gun. somehow it jammed as soon as placed brads in it. it seems to flip the brad. how is that possible? not happy i'm wasting brads
Answer: Ummm, yes, this is a finish nailer, big difference from a brad nailer. Make sure you are using 16 gauge 20 degree nails, not 15 gauge, and definitely not 18 gauge brads. This is a great nailer, but I'm not tossing out my Bostitch air nailers to replace it! This is a great supplement to the air nailers for small jobs that only last a day or so.
Question: Have they sorted out the Low nail depth issue yet? After some use my contractors say it wont Drive 2-1/2 nails
Answer: This is my second Dewalt finish nailer and I have never had any issues with it not driving 2 1/2" nails. That being said, if you are driving several 2 1/2 nails then you need to make sure you are working with a fully charged battery. I have noticed that if the battery gets to a 1/3 charge it will not drive 2 1/2" nails as deep. It also depends on the type of wood (hard or soft).
Question: Can this be used for blind nailing tounge and groove paneling
Answer: Yes but don't waste your money if you plan on using this gun a lot. I've had mine in the shop 3 times in the year I've owned it. Buy the 18 volt version is more powerful and breaks way less. I've used mine for the last 6 years at least. This new gun will not even drive 2 1/2" nails consistently through soft wood let alone any hard wood.

Question: Can I purchase a nose cap for this nailer.. mine didn’t come with one

User questions & answers

Question: can this be used with gypsum board
Answer: Yes, it can be used on gypsum board. It will work well because has a large contact area and wedge, that will help extracting a board. This tool has a sharp blade and is very rigid, what will help inserting it, and removing board easier.
Question: What is the functional difference between this and the Zenith Trim Puller
Answer: This has an additional pry bar on the handle, the center wedge part is closed instead of open, and it's a few inches longer and also about an inch wider. The trim puller was designed to be used with side to side torque ("pulling the puller"), whereas you would be mostly whacking this with a hammer on the back.
Question: I need to remove about 4' x 4' engineer wood flooring glued to concrete slab. Would this tool be helpful? Was going to buy some standard chisels
Answer: Absolutely yes, the unique design and strength of the tool is great for prying loose anything. I watched the demonstration on YouTube and knew I needed it for flooring and walls.
Question: Why is it cheaper for one that's $29 but when you buy two it's $115 it would be cheaper to buy one at a time
Answer: That would be seller setting that price, and not like can't up quantity on single tool.

Made from durable, heat-treated steel, it is sure to last a long time and the handle absorbs any vibration and will not hurt your hand. Try it today! You will be glad you did.

15 degree integrated center wedge

Automatically begins the removal of trim, baseboard, tile, wood floor or other materials with ease. It does the work for you!

3 contact points

Large, flat contact area distributes the force and prevents damage to drywall, sheetrock or other materials.

EPDM handle absorbs vibrations

EPDM handle absorbs vibrations from hammering on the metal. Won't hurt your hand like a crow bar. EPDM stands up great to all weather, heat, ozone and is insulating also.

Step 1

Use a utility knife or painters 5-in-1 tool to score the top of seam where the trim meets the wall. This will prevent tearing the paint from the wall.

Step 2

Position the Trim Puller's front face against the wall with the sharp edge on the seam where trim meets the wall. For best results start at the end of baseboard strip.

Step 3

Strike the top of the Trim Puller with a hammer or hard mallet, driving the Trim Puller between the trim and the wall. The wedge will begin to separate the trim from the wall automatically.

Step 4

Once the Trim Puller is wedged between the trim and wall, gently pry the trim away from the wall in a twisting motion creating a gap of approximately 4 to 8 inches. Repeat steps 2-4, moving the Trim Puller along the wall in 12 inch increments or as needed. The gap will increase with each pull until removed.
