Answer:	Yes, it will read in decimal inches (0.000) or fractional inches to the 1/16th. It does not have a 1/8" setting.

Answer:	This model is not a true US model Disto. I learned that because it didn’t measure in the correct fractions that the US model was supposed to measure in. I needed 3/4, 1/8 and it wouldn’t measure in those although it said and it wouldn’t allow for a software update. I ended up ordering directly from Disto.
Question:	Does this have the 2 screw holes in the bottom for an adapter
Answer:	The angle of the device shouldn't matter as long as the side at the other end of what you are measuring is perpendicular to the disto.

Answer:	Customer support for this product has been disappointing. It also has failed to align repeatedly with my box frame level. These unfortunately not a viable solution for any sort of precision work.

Answer:	I use it exclusively hand-held. Of course, I rarely measure single-shot lengths longer than 80'...if you are looking to measure much longer lengths on a regular basis, a good tripod would certainly be helpful.

1. How to install in battery ?

The battery tray is on the top surface of the display block. Using fingernails, pinch the outer small tabs slightly together to release and pull the tray out. Be sure to put the positive (+) side of the battery on the bottom of the tray. The negative (-) side is facing the display side when installed.

2. Before starting to measure angle, short press [ON/OFF/ZERO Button] to zero reset

3. If you don't need to use it for a long time, it is recommended to take out the battery.
