7 best gamo tactical scopes

Gamo tactical scopes are optical sighting devices designed for use with air rifles and airsoft guns, particularly those manufactured by Gamo, a well-known brand in the airgun industry. These scopes are engineered to enhance accuracy and target acquisition in shooting sports and recreational shooting activities. Here's what you should know about Gamo tactical scopes:

  1. Optical Quality: Gamo tactical scopes are known for their optical clarity and quality. They typically feature multi-coated lenses that reduce glare and improve light transmission, allowing for a clear and bright sight picture.

  2. Variable Magnification: Many Gamo tactical scopes offer variable magnification, allowing users to zoom in and out to get a closer look at distant targets. The magnification range can vary from 3x to 12x or more, providing versatility for different shooting scenarios.

  3. Reticle Styles: Gamo scopes come with various reticle styles, including duplex, mil-dot, and illuminated reticles. The choice of reticle depends on the shooter's preferences and the intended use of the scope.

  4. Adjustable Turrets: Tactical scopes often have turrets for windage and elevation adjustments. These turrets are designed to be easily adjusted with precision, allowing shooters to zero in on their target accurately.

  5. Durable Construction: Gamo scopes are typically built with durability in mind. They are often shockproof, fogproof, and waterproof to withstand the rigors of outdoor shooting in various weather conditions.

  6. Parallax Adjustment: Some Gamo tactical scopes come with parallax adjustment knobs, allowing shooters to minimize parallax error for improved accuracy at different distances.

  7. Mounting Options: These scopes are designed to be mounted on air rifles and airsoft guns. They often come with mounting rings or rails compatible with common mounting systems.

  8. Eye Relief: Eye relief is the distance between the eyepiece and your eye. Gamo scopes generally offer comfortable eye relief, reducing the risk of scope eye (injury caused by recoil).

  9. Price Range: Gamo tactical scopes come in a range of price points to suit different budgets. Higher-end models may offer advanced features and superior optical performance.

  10. Maintenance: Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and performance of your Gamo scope. Regularly clean the lenses and protect it from harsh environmental conditions.

  11. Compatibility: Ensure that the scope you choose is compatible with your specific air rifle or airsoft gun, as different models may have varying mounting requirements.

  12. Legal Considerations: Be aware of local laws and regulations regarding the use of scopes on air rifles and airsoft guns, especially in populated areas.

In summary, Gamo tactical scopes are popular accessories for air rifle and airsoft enthusiasts, offering improved accuracy and target acquisition. When selecting a Gamo scope, consider factors such as optical quality, magnification, reticle style, durability, and compatibility with your firearm to make the best choice for your shooting needs.

User questions & answers

Question: Will it fit on a 1/2 inch rail
Answer: it should fit any small rail scope mount system
Question: What size are the rings
Answer: 1" dia x medium height
Question: Would this scope be good on a 22 rifle
Answer: Yes it would. It uses the same standard mounting. Most rimfires use the same dovetail rail.
Question: how do I zero the scope
Answer: Run the horizontal adjustment all the way to one end, count the click to the other end and then adjust to the middle (i.e. if there are 20 clicks, go to the end and adjust back 10). Do the same on the vertical. Then starting fairly close to the target, say 20 feet, fire and adjust as necessary to zero. Once your on zero, move back and repeat until your at the range you want to shoot at. It's a good idea to lightly tap the adjustment knobs after each adjustment to set the cross hairs.

User questions & answers

Question: gamo pt-85 does have a silencer gun
Answer: No I don't think it is available for this model
Question: will it kill ground hog/rabbits
Answer: I have killed jack rabbets at about 100 yards
Question: Is this gun powerful enough to hunt small animals with a full co
Answer: No. This is one of the more powerful, semi automatic, multi shot, airpistols on the market, but it is not sufficient for hunting any small game whatsoever. Its poppin off at somewhere between 400-450 FPS and that's not enough power for a humane kill. Shoot an animal with this, and it's just gonna be running around with a potentially nasty injury. Why leave an animal to be in pain everyday for the rest of its life?
Question: how many shots are you getting off a single 12g CO2 can
Answer: Accurately.. about 32 shots, after which accuracy suffers (shots drop low) up until about 50-60 shots, at which point there won't be enough CO2 left to even blow the slide back.
