Answer:	To remove the grips you need to attach the Joy-con grips to the Switch. Then hold the top end of the Switch with one hand and push down the bottom part of the grip with another. Once you know how, it is quite easy to remove. Check the 3rd image on the product page

Answer:	I would try other resource intense games and if they froze as well, it might be your system, if they won't, then I would try to run (may be you can borrow from somebody else) a different copy and see if that runs smoothly.
