Answer:	The answer "ROES-50 system uses a high quality, .0001 micron Reverse Osmosis membrane and 3 carbon filters so it is designed to remove high levels of hormones and pharmaceutical drugs from water" is troublesome. Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

Answer:	well you could filter salt water with it, but it still wouldn't be potable to humans =)

Answer:	You'll have to go on the data sheet from the manufacturer on the filter fiber diameter since no consumer can reasonably measure the filter tube diameters. And you'll have to do research on bad virus sizes to determine if those viruses will be blocked. But I'll say as a consumer of this filter over twelve days on the trail, serving 4 people (48 people-days) on the AT, no gastro-issues. And the filtering flow rate is amazingly fast.

Answer:	Everything that you see illustrated. There are two reservoirs, the filter and the hose. The only thing not included is the optional carbon filter which isn't neccessary. If you do opt to purchase the carbon filter, keep in mind that it slows down the filtration time drastically.

Question:	Does it require professional installation? I have no idea what goes on under my sink
Answer:	The system is packaged with the idea of do it yourself so you don't have to get professional help. Many of our customers were able to install it themselves by following the very comprehensive installation manual that we include in the package. We even have a video on youtube that shows how to install our system step by step. However, if you are not comfortable installing the system, any local plumber should have no trouble installing it for you in an hour or so at most.
Question:	Can I hook it up to the ice maker on my fridge and use the included water faucet
Answer:	Our system can be hooked up to the ice-maker on the fridge with proper connections. It can either be tee off so that it sends water to both the included faucet and the ice-maker or to the ice-maker or our included faucet by itself.
Question:	How often do the filters need replacing and what is the cost
Answer:	I use a 1-3-5 year schedule and my filter works as well now as the day I installed it: * Every year I replace the first three stages or the large vertical filters @$30-$50 if purchased separately * Every three years I replace the fifth stage filter, horizontal filter on the top @$20-$30 if purchased separately * Every five years I replace the fourth stage reverse osmosis filter @$30-$40 if purchased separately You can usually get a discount and get all five stages for @$125-$135. If you try to save money and not replace your filters as scheduled, you will probably foul up the stages behind it even faster. For example, if you try to save money by not replacing the first three filter stages you will end up having to replace stages four and five way more often. Which is actually a more expensive scenario. I hope this helps you make a smart purchase or helps with your maintenance!
Question:	It says in the description that the unit removes flouride. Has anyone had a chance to measure the flouride levels in their water after filtering

Question:	Looking to purchase a matching faucet. Is the faucet that comes with the kit Polished Chrome or more of a brushed/matte
Answer:	No, you need to plumb in the water line. It is on our counter and the water source is not nearby, so we ran a water line through the wall and into the kitchen.
Question:	My water leaves terrible white spots on my pots and pans and anything glass from the dishwasher.. Will this filtration system solve this problem
Answer:	Yes, and super easy to install because the filters are already installed
Question:	How long will last? i bought it back on august
Answer:	This unit uses the standard ice maker diameter hose. It is best to put the the supplied valve as close to source as possible. You would need a t adapter BEFORE the supplied valve in order to split off two ways to the fridge and to the valve. This t adapter is not supplied and the supplied valve may not fit your American piping. Be prepared to make adjustments to the installation. Installation was not hard, but patience and a trip to the hardware store should be expected. It is important to make the water split before the valve because the flow will have to be turned off many times during installation, if there is a leak and when flushing the filters. Otherwise, you are cutting water off the fridge unnecessarily.

Question:	Does it make sence to upgrade this system with deionization filter when it has alkaline filter
Answer:	Smart Flow Sensor Switch powers on/off UV light automatically by water flow, so it must be installed after the storage tank where water flow is high enough, if you install it before the storage tank the water flow will be to slow for the Sensor Switch to turn the light on.
Question:	Is there an indicator that tells you when the filters need replacing, or do you guess ~6 months for uv light and the ph cartridge & 12 for membrane
Answer:	TWS is more powerful than ows. 55w compare to 40W. We normally suggest our customer install the OWS unit horizontally. Cause vertically installation might need extra support if the pipe is plastic. But that was not a problem for TWS system.
Question:	how many gallons of water is wasted to make 1 gallon of filtered water
Answer:	As long as you protect it from freezing, it has to be plugged in, we have it installed inside. We are on a well, have a sediment filter, a carbon filter then the UV water purifier installed in the same line. Going to get a test kit and test the water for bacteria and see how well it does.

Answer:	No. Everpure # EF-1500 is a full-flow catrige.
Question:	How long can the drain line be extended to
Answer:	1.5 - 2 years
Question:	Does this come with/include all filters/UV? filter
Answer:	It's possuble, but I think it's safer to stick with the S101 filter. The three filters in the system work closely together, and any difference in one of them could affect the other two. We've had our system now for 5 years, and we've been extremely happy with it. But, we do follow the replacement schedule that is recommended and we do use the standard everpure filters.
Question:	What kind of water ph levels does this filter produce
Answer:	When you notice the change in taste with your water. I change mine about once every 12 to 18 months (although recommendation is every 6 months) depending on how much water we drink. Seems to work fine at this interval for me. Hope that answers your question.

Question:	I just have my system (with the pump) installed and it seems to take forever for the tank to fill and the waste water runs endlessly. is this normal
Answer:	It varies based on the condition of source water that it is treating. We recommend replacing stage 1 & 2 once every 9 to 12 months, and the 3rd stage membrane and 4th stage post filter once every 2 years.
Question:	Do you have to hire a plumber to install this system
Answer:	The 2nd stage carbon block and 3rd stage Reverse Osmosis can effectively remove PFOA and Teflon chemical found in the water.
Question:	Is it only my case or this filter makes noticeable noise like ticking about once per 2 seconds that can be heard in next room
Answer:	The diameter of the hole needed to mount the faucet can be in between 3/4" to 1 1/4".
Question:	I don't necessarily have low water pressure but I'd like to add some pressure. Is this okay or is this filter only for low water pressure

Question:	Do I have to use the storage tank
Answer:	I don't think there is a limit. I have purchased extra drain line (copper) to connect to my refrigerator. The extension was about 10 feet long. Hope I answered your question.

Question:	Your products are not certified by the wqa as stated, can you please explain
Answer:	It is about ph9 plus. I tested with a alkaline bottled water that the ph was almost the same.
