1. Caution: Before your first use, soak the filter in cold tap water for 10 minutes and remove bubbles to activate the filter and ensure the best filtration performance. Do not use a dishwasher to clean the product. Note that it is normal to find residual particles of carbon dust in the water while rinsing or soaking the filter.

2. Working and replacement method of indicator: During the first use, activate the gravity induct indicator by pressing the start button for 3-5 seconds until the blue light flashes. Reset the filter indicator life after every filter replacement. The gravity induct indicator is replaceable. Replace it by squeezing the clamping jaw. Make sure that the clamming jaw is inserted into the groove completely.

3. Indicator light statuses introduction: The blue light of indicator will be on if the filter is in good status, the red light will flash 6 times if the filter needs to be replaced, and the red light will be on if the filter needs to be replaced at once.

4. Long service life: For best results, change the filter every 3 months or after every 200 gallons (whichever comes first). This may vary based on the quality of your water.

5.Not a TDS removal series: “TDS” stands for “total dissolved solids”; it is basically composed of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter. The filter can remove harmful substances while retaining beneficial calcium and magnesium, which are the main components of inorganic salts.

Step 1: Soak the filter cartridge to activate it.

• Take out the filter from the package.
• Please soak it in cold tap water for 10 minutes to remove bubbles before use to activate the filter and ensure the best filtration performance.

Step 2: Hand-wash pitcher.

• Hand-wash dispenser, lid and reservoir with a mild detergent.
• Do not put it in the dishwasher. Do not use an abrasive cleanser rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 3: Install and clean the filter cartridge.

Answer:	I will pass your message to the manufacturer so we can fix the instructions. Thanks for the feedback. Both, the strips and drops are for you to test the pH of any liquid. I recommend the drops for testing water and strips for any other liquid. To use the drops just pour 1 oz of water and then add 6-10 drops of the pH reagent. Compare the color to the label of the drops to get an estimate of the pH. For the strips you can just put it on any liquid and then compare the color to the label of strips (not to the label of the drops they are similar but not the same) Also you can use the strips to test the pH of your body you can put it on your mouth or pour some urine and compare to the color of box where the strips came. Remeber we are always looking for a slightly Alkaline pH. I'm already working on an update instructions guide to share with our customers in North America.
Question:	Are you an authorized Berky dealer
Answer:	Yes it should work, in fact, because reverse osmosis is already filtering the water the Alkanatur filter should last longer. It will remove whatever the reverse osmosis couldnt and it will add magnesium to the water. So it should definitely work!
Question:	Will these shower filters fit with your massaging shower head? Will they fit with any other massaging shower head
Answer:	Yes it does, one of the main components of the filter is the activated coconut charcoal that has a diameter of ~2 nanometers, the average of the industry is around 4-5 nanometers. This allows the filter to capture and remove up to 99% of the particles in water including microplastics.
Question:	Howoften should both the black filters and white filters be replaced
Answer:	Hey this is a great question! The best water that you should be drinking is an alkaline water rich in Calcium and Magnesium and low in Sodium, since the latter eliminates the Calcium from the organism and the Magnesium helps to fix it in the areas where it is most needed (our filters do not add Sodium) The filters of conventional jugs on the market carry a chemical called Ion Exchange Resin. What these resins do is change ions of Calcium and Magnesium for Sodium Ions, leaving a water with an acidic pH, with little oxygen and without antioxidant capacity, which as mentioned by the multiple recent studies, increases the probability to form stones in the kidney or gallbladder, in addition to many problems associated with the intake of sodium (diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular problems, fluid retention, kidney problems, etc) Most of the waters are very rich in Calcium, but poor in Magnesium hence, not enough Calcium attaches to your body. The Alkanatur filter is 100% natural, does not contain any type of chemical and the only thing that contributes to water is 18 milligrams of Magnesium per liter, so the two most important minerals that our body needs are in perfect balance, helping to better assimilate them. Because of this in some cases in areas where Calcium is high in water there could remain some whitish particles in the walls of the pitcher or in the bottles. These are simply small remnants of Calcium and Magnesium. We advise you that at night when you notice that they are forming, leave that area covered with water and pour a little vinegar or lemon, in just one hour it will be totally clean. Answer:	I am on my first set of these this week. The black filters worked great after emptying 3-4 tanks of their first filtered water. These flouride filters seem to take a LONG time to first flush in the faucet, 20 seconds?? No more like 20 minutes minimum. Once I installed them I might have reached non-oily residue finally after 10-12 tanks have been discarded!! I will see if my theory that is I leave the filtered water to sit overnight again, instead of emptying it into a different container, the oily residue might return, we will see.

Answer:	The people complaining fail to READ and FOLLOW instructions. I had NO problem and my water is perfect since my original purchase in 2015. And I have FLORIDA water so you can't trick me with any fake purification LOL.
Question:	Where can I find replacement filter
Answer:	The fluoride add ons remove 68% or so on the first pass. If you run it through multiple times it removes 99.9%. Very difficult to get rid of the crap they add to our water. Supposedly for our health.
Question:	Is the c2 filter a ro filter? from my research a .5 micron filter can not remove flouride unless it’s a ro filter. the info i found could be wrong
Answer:	Yes. Initially, I thought it was just discoloration, and I did notice that sometimes the water would taste funny every now and then, almost metallic. Upon inspection today, I found out that the discoloration was a rust spot that penetrated from the interior wall to the exterior wall of the bottom chamber. Really disappointed about the quality control of this product, and wondering if the rust was contaminating our drinking water.

There are quite a few differences, but perhaps the most important one and the difference most people will notice first is that the bristles on the TUNG Brush are much firmer and more effective than the bristles on the Orabrush. Ours are similar to what you might find on a toothbrush, except that they're much shorter and they are arranged in a way that makes them effective on your tongue. The Orabrush bristles, by comparison, are thin and highly flexible plastic strands that many of our customers tell us are not as effective at cleaning -- especially down in the deeper nooks & crannies of your tongue and at the back of your tongue. Those are, of course, the most important areas to clean, since they are the locations where the smelliest gunk gathers on your tongue! Other differences include the ergonomic handle which is designed to help you reach further back and the hole in the middle to help make it easier to rinse and keep clean so bacteria don't grow on the brush itself. If so, you may want to find one that doesn't have alcohol, as the alcohol contributes to drying your mouth out. So... if you use a mouthwash, look for one that is alcohol-free. For example, when you have frost or ice on your windshield, a scraper is the right idea! But your tongue has lots of nooks and crannies, and that's where the smelly gunk on your tongue lives. So a scraper will remove some of the stuff from the top surfaces of your tongue, but will actually push some of the gunk down into the crevices and leave them there. Picture trying to remove peanut butter from some coarse sandpaper. If you scrape the peanut butter with a butter knife, you'll get some off, but you'll smear the rest into the sandpaper. And the sandpaper will still smell like peanut butter! But if you use a brush, those bristles will get down into the nooks & crannies where the smelly gunk lives and will loosen them up and get them out. That's why we designed the TUNG Brush -- scrapers just weren't able to get the job done! What is Ion Exchange Resin

This is one of the most used process to reduce water hardness, what they don't tell you is that in the process they remove magnesium (this is good for your body) and they add sodium to the water (which is very bad for your body)

Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

Answer:	Wow. We never had such a problem. You might have a defective filter. i suggest contacting Berkey directly and/or returning them to Amazon.

Answer:	The black filter is 8.5 inches and 8.75 including the shoulder the screw threads into 2.5 inch diameter. The white filter is 6.25 high including the end protrusions and 5.25 for the length of the body only - it is also 2.5 inches in diameter. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I had same issue. I bought two sets and both sets of the fluoride never got clear...tried to use them...tasted terrible....threw away and bought DuroFlo .
