Question:	can you hem jeans with it
Answer:	I have not sewn denim yet. I used it to make a stuffed animal for my daughter for Christmas and needed to be able to work away from home. In that project I had to sew up to 4 layers together of thicker plush materials, so I think denim could be done. I would advise that if you don’t have any experience using a sewing machine, I think this would be a difficult one to start with. At least it was for me. It’s seem best for situations where you couldn’t practically bring a full size with you (trips, keep at work JIC, etc...). I wouldn’t want it for a machine that gets used a lot. That being said. It is a wonderful machine for its intended purpose.

Answer:	Even though this machine is not an embroidery machine, you can learn to do beautiful embroidery work on it by learning free motion embroidery. In fact, one of the cool presser feet that comes with this machine is the open toe darning foot, which is a bonus!... People who wish to embroider, use this foot to do so. You Tube has many fine videos that will show you how to do free motion embroidery, on a regular machine, with just an everyday wooden hoop. Just type in free motion embroidery tutorials in the you tube search area, and you will be busy for hours, learning to this method. Enjoy!

Answer:	Depends what you want it for. Simple sewing like clothing or piecing quilt tops should be okay - putting quilts together NO! The throat is not big enough for free motion quilting and it doesn’t do well with bulky material. Your needle will snap, bobbin will have a nervous breakdown and you’ll get error codes that will make you want to pull your hair out when you try to clear them. But if you set on buying this model or the CS6000i here is the skinny - it is easy to use if you stick to the book or YouTube for help and FOLLOW the step by step instructions. It’s a cute machine for newbies but an albatross around experienced quilters necks

Answer:	Because it's a review, some reviews aren't anything more than "it sucks". But for only 150 people out of 2,000 people don't like or understand the machine, that's pretty damn good.

Answer:	This would be a GREAT machine for a beginner. I've sewn for at least 60 yrs and have had machines that cost as much as $2,000, and to me this is the best. I'm an avid believer that one should read the manual first and recommend for you to do this. You will be able to nicely grow into this machine and should have no regrets with the purchase. I love idea that you can sew without using a presser foot, but can control your stitches on the front of the machine. Love to be able to see when the bobbin is getting low, various speeds, even some decorative stitches for you. It's quiet, fun, light weight for taking to classes, or for my motorhome. Can't say enough, I JUST LOVE THIS MACHINE, it's all I could ever want. Please read the manual. Hope this helps. JMD

Question:	What power cord is compatible
Answer:	DC 6V 800mA is what it says on the side of the device that it needs,.. Ive personal never used it on my current one. My friend who had used this when it came our ten years ago had the cord and used it all the time. The machine would get hot if you used it for to long. So keep this in mine. (We are talking like a hours at a time.) I just use this for 15 or 30 minute uses with a battery though.

I recall, at 12 or 13 running a few stitches on my mom's sewing machine, with supervision so I didn't break her machine or sew my hand to the cloth. However, at the same age, and with this "stitch/sew quick", I would have probably taken it outside and smashed it with a ball bat out of frustration.

The machine does not sew, sew intermittent, what should i do？



1: Unscrew the screw, loosen the needle screw



2: Adjust the needle to a proper length,The height of the needle is neither too high nor too low. (the needle head can be seen from the hole ).



3: Tighten the screw till the needle is immovable. When tightening the screw, there is a groove on the needle body. This groove must face straight ahead.

Answer:	There is only one spindle for the thread spool. It is designed for only a single thread. I have tried to double thread this machine using a double needle. The second "spool" on top was actually a bobbin set in the bobbin winder. The timing and position of the threads were wrong and a secure stitch was not the result. Singer makes a machine that appears to have a place for two spools, but not this brand. This little machine does a good job. Just don't ask it to do something beyond its capability.
