Answer:	The unit uses about 1/2 kwh per day or 15 kwh per month or 180 - 240 kwh per year. Of course, it depends on the temperature where you have it located. I have had it for 1 1/2 years and recorded these results. Therefore the energy rating is pretty accurate.

Answer:	Water releases into the catch tray after making an espresso, but if you have an outside leak I'd take advantage of the warranty. I've had my machine for a few months now and have no such issues.

Answer:	That depends on the proportions of the cup I guess, but if standard is about 3-3/4 inches, absolutely. There's a lot of room under there: about 4 inches from the filter-holder tips to the base.
Question:	Do I need a tamper
Answer:	No, it is like any household coffee pot. It runs on 110 volt. As for how long it takes to brew, it takes longer to set-up than to brew. It takes about 5 minutes for the machine to heat up, about the length of time that it takes for my Keurig to heat. As for the actual brewing, about 5 seconds to fill a demitasse cup. I love my espresso machine. It is my first one and works great for home use. I buy Lavazza espresso grounds from the grocery store.

Answer:	It comes with a 48mm (1.9"actual) plastic tamper but the cups are 51mm (2.025"actual) inside dia. so a 51mm tamper would be ideal as an additional purchase.
