Question:	Does the filter effect ph
Answer:	It's a good question. The filter adds no chemicals to the water, so it does not modify pH in that sense. However, the tests measure mercury and lead, each at two pHs of 6.5 and 8.5. When these are removed, the pH might be altered. The test condition pH is 7.5 +/- 0.1. I have used the EZ-4 for 8 years now, in Dallas water and NJ water. It is truly excellent and Amazon regularly delivers it to me. There is a noticeable improvement in water quality. Even in NJ water which is pretty good, you notice an improvement. Question:	I am a fulltime RV'r need to know dimensions and approx. gallons of life
Answer:	14 x 3.5"dia for the cartridge & mount (the system cartridge holder) when the cartridge is installed. The faucet base is 2.0 x 2.1" with the handle extending laterally 3.07" from the center of the base. The faucet I 10.5" tall and extends laterally 4.5" from the center of the base. Culligan says 6 month / 500 gallon life. I have used up to 8-9 months with still a huge improvement over the unfiltered tap water, but I can taste a little bit of minerals at 8-9 months. This while using about 1.5 gallons a day, average. And, I do not have a bulk filter at the input to my house.
Question:	I recently replaced an EZ-1 with an EZ-3 and notice the flow rate is less, is this normal
Answer:	At first it shouldn't really be but the ez-3 from my experience clog mighty fast. I get 5 months from an ez-4 but 2-3 weeks from an ez-3.

Answer:	It is the same. Well, the Culligan has a Cartridge Life of 6 months, depending upon usage and water conditions. I purchase all from Amazon. Price is best I can find. I use only the Culligan filters in my Whole House Culligan system now. Never again will I use GE (Whirlpool) filters. I installed one in 2008. It apparently had a problem because my house lines became plugged with carbon sediment. What a disaster. Spent a long while flushing the system, cleaning faucet filters, etc. Never have I experienced a problem with Culligan filter RFC-BBSa. Outstanding. Used it for years.

Answer:	I have been using these for well over a year now. They are carbon filters. I'm inclined to say, hey carbon is carbon. Speaking as an Engineer: You can drive yourself nuts with specs. They are very similar to the GE carbon which costs much more $$. On the flip side....I use this as a whole house filter and my drinking water runs through a Reverse Osmosis system. This whole house filter radically extends the filter life of the RO system's filters. Would I drink the water from the output of a single CP5BBS ? No. Should you ? Probably not. That doesn't make it bad. It's merely a major "stage 1" filter. You really should be using a second system for drinking water. That's my 2 cents.

Answer:	In my opinion, It all depends on the the water. Such as in my case I have substandard city water which contains Blue green Algae. That causes me to need a replacement cartridge Every month because If I wait 6 weeks to change the cartridge I notice a huge difference. So I make sure to change cartridges every month. Although my situation is not typical but if it were I'd say for best results change it every 3 to 6 months.

Answer:	No, the Rejuvia SFC500 replacement filter cartridge is 25% larger and will not fit our other models.

Answer:	The Uniform Plumbing Code indicates there shall be a minimum of 15 PSI residual pressure, after taking into account friction and other pressure losses. Without a filter, 15 PSI is not an acceptable shower, in my opinion. So the question is very subjective. Some people may feel 30 PSI is acceptable, while others may feel 50 PSI is. 80 PSI is the maximum allowed.

Answer:	it takes out almost everything asbestos, hydrocarbons giardia. I changes my filter twice a year, only use it for drinking and cooking it is only good for a limited amount of gallons

Answer:	The extruded carbon solid block is very fragile, I have found that 1/2 of all filters ordered I have to send back as the white cartridge arrives broken which is no longer a filter.

Answer:	While I cannot speak to every possible situation, our family has been using this filter on our well water for the 4+ years we've lived in our current home. It removes a LOT of sediment while maintaining water pressure, and no one in our 6-person family has fallen ill due to water-borne contaminants. However, we change the cartridge frequently - every 5 weeks, to be exact - to avoid deterioration of the materials and to maintain good filtration.
Question:	Where are these made
Answer:	The label which came with each filter says it was assembled in China. It does not say where the materials came from, but it is hard to imagine shipping filter material to China, from anywhere, for assembly there.
Question:	does this filter remove visible rust in well water
Answer:	Yes, this is the only filter I tried that stops the toilet bowls from turning rust color. This applies to the 5-micron paper filter as shown in the picture . I recently saw a string-wound version, haven't tried that one.

Answer:	A shower head filter cannot soften water (remove hard water minerals) The only way to get soft water in a shower is to install either a whole house water softener or the "ShowerStick" shower water softener made by WaterSticks (watersticks.com). You won't get the results you're looking for unless you remove the hard water minerals.

Answer:	It will fit with a slight modification or 'hack'. Remove the circular tab or 'key' on top.---Not the inlet and outlet, but the circular tab adjacent to them. I cut it off with a hacksaw blade. The Britta Redi-twist uses a different tab configuration, but I find it can work without them. I've seen a 'universal fit' filter like these for sale on Amazon---that has no tab at all on top.
