Question:	Is it strong enough to stand on to compact trash? We recycle all but bubble packages, foil wrappers, saran wraps & bottle lids; nothing stinky
Answer:	My husband and I push down very hard and easily crush boxes and plastic bottles. I wouldn't stand on it because it has a frame that might not hold that much weight. But if you are putting plastic bottles, boxes without lids etc you will be amazed how much you will fit in there just using your arm to crush. It's awesome for recycling!

Answer:	Just checking to see if they did fit the Viking FCU150, which is the 15” compactor?

Answer:	The bottom is 15" which fits the compactor with an 18" circumference. The length of the bag is 34" and allows for a 7" fold-over. The circumference of the bag all opened up is 57". There are 2 sets of holes for each of the 4 tabs to attach to the bag to prevent sliding back into the trash. They are very durable and also prevent odors.

Answer:	Hi Walter,Upon taking a quick look at the GE compactor, it looks like mine. I think there aren't but a very few manufacturers, making units for every appliance company. Check the dimensions & ck with a local appliance parts dealer like 1stsourceservall.com to see if universal bags will work. They have GE bags that say they fit all 15" wide compactors. I think these will fit all 15" wide compactors too.

Answer:	Hi Shannon, I'm not totally sure what Dispozit means, but I'm going to guess it has something to do with them being paper on the outside and plastic coated on the inside. I have used both the paper and the plastic and I prefer the paper. The plastic isn't as stiff as the paper and it can rip easier. The paper is good except if you put too much liquid in it. Answer:	I have a Sears Kenmore compactor that is at least 20 years old. I'm not sure of the number of the original bag for my unit but the measurements are 9 & 1/2inches wide, 16 inches long and 15 inches tall. I use the Dano Pre Cuffed plastic lined paper bags and they work just fine.

Answer:	If you were using a pre-cuffed paper compactor bag with the plastic liner then these bags should fit. If your compactor matches the dimensions of the bag you should be ok- Note the 21.5 inch dimension is the height of the bag before it is inserted into the compactor - The bottom of the bag widens out and will then be apprx 16-17 inches high. If your units height is 16inches then it should fit. Please check the dimensions of your unit compared to the bags dimensions

Answer:	Yes, there are 2 holes at each corner of the bag equaling 8 holes total. The bags fit the Kenmore compactor very nicely.

Answer:	Same as sears, thick, has holes that fit mounting buttons. I don’t know if there are ties, but we don’t use them if it comes with ties, we tie the bag in a knot ourselves. The bags do not have a seal.
Question:	Will they fit a kitchen aid
Answer:	Hi. Mine is a Kitchen Aid and it works perfectly. There are white knobs protruding from the outside of the metal "basket" into which the bag goes and there are holes in the plastic bags which will fit perfectly around those knobs holding the bag in place. I used to get the paper bags from Sears. They would occasionally leak and fall apart when I pulled the bag out if the kids accidentally put something really moist in the compactor. The plastic bags are lighter, easier to handle and have never leaked. I was actually skeptical that they would do the job but they are far superior. Good luck!

Answer:	Yes, they will fit but be strongly advised that the only way these bags works is if you put the plastic liner in first and then put the heavy duty paper bag in it also. The compactor packs so tightly that the plastic bags puncture and they are so heavy to remove that they split and its a disastrous mess. By double lining the compactor your eliminate any of the mess and makes it very easy to lift the heavy bag out and the heavy duty paper keeps the plastic from puncturing, splitting and falling apart.

Question:	The cover to my filter came off in the trash and evidently was thrown away. Is there a was to purchase just the filter cover
Answer:	Go to Joesph Joesph website and request the part directly through the "contact us" link they are great to respond to customer issues.
Question:	Does this crush your waste electronically or does it use your own force to crush it
Answer:	It’s not electronic and it only takes the place of you pushing the trash down with your hand. It will break if you push to hard.
Question:	In the JJ website demo, the garbage being crushed is regular trash. Are you saying it doesn't even compact that
Answer:	Yup. It’s the worst. If it compresses at all, it’s maybe 1/10th of the trash. But the compression mechanism is plastic, so not very strong, and the bags, inevitably do not stay up. So you’re just compacting the bag down with it. So, if it compacts at all, pulling the bag back up to normal level inevitably undies all your work. It sounded so great, but it’s flawed. I’d be willing to try an updated version, but until then, the design flaws are just not worth it. We got the simple human side by side and a can crusher (works on other stuff, too) and that helps. I really was hoping this product could deliver on its promises, but I’d never recommend it. And after a few tries to reach the company for help, I just gave up and sent them back (we had two). Hope this helps.
