Answer:	I am going to that house tomorrow and I will look at it but the storage space is rather limited and I doubt that anything one inch thick will fit in the vault. I will check and try to respond, again if it will accommodate your remote. The interior is about 1.5 by 1.5 and about 1 inch deep.

Question:	Does this unit need to be hung in a covered location? If rain gets on it, will it be ruined
Answer:	This was my concern also. In my opinion, yes, over time. I took a rectangular clear plastic top from a sealed container which covered an item I had purchased and attached it with stick on velcro to the side of this unit. It made a pretty good weather guard. The rotating lock code numbers are not weather proofed and could allow moisture in. To me, over time this would have to have a corosion factor.

Answer:	The internal dimensions do not allow for the placement of a credit card sized key card. In regards to the temperature issue, cold temperatures have no bearing on if a key card will work or not as it's a passive device with no moving parts. I would be more concerned with heat. If the vault was placed where direct sunlight could hit it, then the vault box (which is black and black absorbs heat from sunlight), could get hot enough to the point where a plastic item placed inside of it could warp. I can only assume that those commenting on the temp aspect are not familiar with key cards.

I changed the code myself every few days just for better security. Never had a problem at all with anyone trying to reset the code. Not sure what that would accomplish on the part of an agent to change the code without you asking them to do it. There may be lockboxes that would not give someone access to change code, but I did not notice that when I was shopping for one.
