Answer:	Smells horrid, like acrid oil paint. I can't use it and I usually like natural lotions, but the scent of this is unbearably strong and pungent.

Question:	Can this work for other places except attic access
Answer:	I would say only if it doesn't interfere with the zipper. You want it to be a tight fit for sure, our fit just right with out cutting. You are to use a staple gun to keep it in place.

Answer:	Found this same item at a big box store, R-value is listed as 14.5. I'm guessing the 15.4 is a typo.

Answer:	I was able to staple to the two x four framing around the stairway. I think that as long as you have most of the edges stapled down you will see a vast improvement in the insinulation qualities this product provides. I think it took 15 minutes to put it in and it has helped tremendously, both winter and summer.

Answer:	You could simply staple it to the lower portion of your attic stair frame rather tha the upper edge. Depending on the size of your framed opening this should give you 2 to 3” of adjustment room. Another approach would he to fold the bottom edge evenly around the perimeter by the amount you need to shorten the height, secure the folded part it with duct tape, And then staple it to the frame.

STEP 1

Open the attic access and fit the attic cover into place . Ensure the sloped zipper part is in the direction of entry to enable easier access when unzipped.

STEP 2

Once fitted properly in place , staple the insulation cover to the wood frame of the attic entry every 4-6 inches all the way around leaving little to no air leaks.

STEP 3

Question:	Is the opening insulated? Other websites state it's R10 but nothing here states it but it's the same Werner AH2210 model
Answer:	Hi Bill, The ceiling height adjustment involves cutting the lowest ladder section to the approximate correct length, within +/- 1/2 inch. A hacksaw works well. Then you slide two feet onto the cut ends of the ladder rails, line it all up with the ladder fully deployed and the feet on the floor, clamp the feet to the rails, drill 1/4 inch holes for two hex head screws, and finally bolt the feet to the rails. I installed mine last October, and we love it. Be sure to follow the instructions in order. Don't skimp on the framing, especially if the ladder is perpendicular to your rafters. If your installation is in a hallway between two walls, screw or nail the rafters to the top plates of the walls before cutting them. In my case, one of the rafters I cut (the bottom member of a truss) is now supported on the inboard end only by the ladder framing. I used 3 1/2 in. Torx socket deck screws for the framing rather than nails.--John G.

Answer:	Although not seen in the picture, there is a handrail at the top on the section backed by the trap door. We have found this to be a very safe and comfortable way to access the roof of our facility.

Answer:	I'm not sure which vendor you are looking at. One of them had the 350# ladder and a price too good to be true. Turned out the ladder was the light weight one. Returned it and bought through a different vendor and it truly is the 350# version. So, if it in the price range you see other places, it is 350. If substantially cheaper, it is not.
Question:	Ladder spec says 54" opening length is required. Mine is 53 1/2" rough framed dimension. Will ladder fit or can ladder be trimmed to fit
