Answer:	yes. as buckler work is deflection and quick point attacks this will work. i should point out that cold steel also has a dagger and a waister and furthermore a trenchhawk. if you want to train for classic buckler parry and attack i think you will want the waister. barring that any one hand weapon will suffice.
