Answer:	Hi Cameron, Our bottle is BPA free and it is safe to use as a water bottle. Some of the reviews says it's not, but this is because they were not fully aware of the material PETG. It comes under recycle number 7 which is for plastic materials 'OTHER' than those in no.1 through 6. So you have to look for the name of the material and other food safe symbols in product with category no.7 in order to check the safety. Please be noted that PETG is used for many dental instruments and also TRITAN (another no.7 material) is widely used for baby products (like milk bottles, etc). I hope this answers you. It says category 7 (OTHER) . It generally means that the plastic material(resin) is other than PETE, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS and most of the people know that material other than what just mentioned is hazardous. Since our bottle material is PETG and is other than the above six materials, it falls under category 7. HOWEVER, it is not because it is harmful or hazardous. It's just because it is other than the above six. All other materials excluding those six above comes under cat.7. Please be noted that TRITAN meterial which is also being widely used as water bottle material comes under cat.7. I hope you understand what I'm saying. Answer:	Yeah, looking at the pictures it shows the white part being the mouth part of the straw. But the straw doesn't fit snuggly for some bottles and it comes apart and looses suction. So what I did was take the white plastic piece and put it on the end of the straw with the rubber bending bit and it stayed snug. But because of the way the bottle closes, the bending but has to be inside. So as long as you enjoy just regular straw it should be a perfect fix. Another thing I did was just purchase more reusable silicone straws because they bend easily to handle being bent with the lid closed.

Answer:	Just use soap and water and every now and then a little chlorine (just a few drops diluted in water). I've had no problem with this unit and my Camelbak for years. The key is to use a spreader or dryer, such as this model (https://www.amazon.com/CamelBak-Camelbak-Unisex-Reservoir-Dryer/dp/B07CPN8M26 - not the unit I use but it's somewhat similar) so that it airs out to prevent mold. And remember to make sure that you drain the tube after washing by holding it high and releasing any water still in the tube.
