Answer:	Odd question because I don't know the length of your Hummingbirds's bills...But, the distance between top ledge of feeder to bottom is almost 1.5" And just because bird has a bill/tongue that Can cover a given distance doesn't mean it will put that part up to the hilt for a feeding. This is not a screw that has to reach a 2 x 4 and first pass through wallboard. Suggests insensitivity to providing clean, fresh nectar routinely so that feeder is never less than 1/2 full and nectar never more than a few days old. So lick the feeder clean for this buyer, birdies!

Answer:	The wasps cannot eat from these feders. They will come to investigate the sweet food but generally leave when they find out they cannot eat from them. You must keep the flat part where the birds eat from free from spilled nectar because that will draw wasps to clean it up.
Question:	I am really having a problem with bees getting in my feeders...is this a good feeder that the bees can't get to the nectar
Answer:	I recommend giving your feeder a good wash and rinse before filling. Also getting a small funnel to fill up the bottle with helps to keep the nectar from spilling anywhere on the outside. I've had this feeder for a few years now and I love it. One other recommendation I have is to get some small bottle brushes to clean out the feeder holes every once in a while, as they can start to get a bit moldy if you don't get in there thoroughly.

Answer:	You attach the lights to an electrical cable so you determine the distance between lights. They do not attach to one another.
Question:	is the jar part glass or plastic
Answer:	No. The lights come with a connector to attach to your main line wire. These lights are meant as a replacement to damaged or broken lights out of the original set. You need to get a full set with the transformer and wiring rather than the replacement lights. Also, before buying a set you need to understand how many lights you want wherever you are going to put them. It is important that the wattage of the transformer matches up to the total wattage of the lights you are going to use. If you don't do this and end up with too much wattage on your transformer you will be replacing light bulbs more often that you will want to. As an example, if you determine that you want 20 lights in your yard and each one will be 4 watts then you should be looking for a 80 watt transformer. My set has 4 watt and 7 watt lights and my transformer is matched up to the total wattage of all of them together.
Question:	Are bees able to drink from this feeder
Answer:	Yes. I bought these as replacement lights since I had some damaged from a hurricane when a neighbor’s tree came down and smashed them. I already had the wire in the ground and a transformer hooked up to it. If you buy a transformer, get one that is higher powered so your lights will shine bright. My old transformer was low powered and when I replaced it with more power, the lights were much brighter in the yard.
Question:	I have a number of glass pinch waist feeders; are the parts from the plastic feeder interchangable with with glass feeders
Answer:	It does not automatically swing closed. It is actually quite painful to close it back up correctly. First you have to hook the bottom and then press the latch and slide it in to click closed.

Answer:	My advice would be to replace the feeder. It is a very attractive one and as I remember it was not expensive. Its no longer available on Amazon but I found it from Walmart for $14.00.

Answer:	The mini is About 5.5 inches measuring after it is screwed in and measuring to the top of the curve in the hook.

Answer:	They can. My recommendation is you don't fill the feeder full to the top, maybe up to 1/2 inch space between the bowl and the lid. In addition, I buy ant moats, fill with water, hang feeder on it, keeps bugs and ants out of your feeder plus bees will go to moat and drown in the water since most of the time they are just in need of water. Hope this helps. I no longer have bees or wasps coming and bugs stay away too. You have to keep the aunt moat filled with water, check daily for refill. Use the 4 ounce Humm Blossom feeders as they need cleaning and refilling around every 4 days in summer heat.
Question:	If the feeder is filled only halfway can the Hummingbirds still reach the nectar
Answer:	There is a mark on the bowl of the feeder of where you should fill the nectar to. Hummingbirds have long tongues, i also use the bee guards that cover the holes from the underside. You should change the nectar every 3 days when its hot out!
Question:	Are the flowers easily removable? Our hooded orioles need a larger opening so I remove 1 flower, but they spill so much syrup due to their weight
Answer:	There are no flowers to remove as an imprint is on the surface. I suppose you can make the holes bigger for the orioles. As for spillage, since the holes are right on top as opposed towards the sides, you may be ok. I've seen sparrows land on the feeder to drink out of the ant trap and have not observed any major tipping.

Pest control after 1 1/2 years hasn't hurt our hummingbirds.Wasp, yellow jackets & bees are not a worry either at our place.I place my feeder low under a UV bell inside a bushy bonsai tree so flying insects can't see it from above. Can you remove the glass container from the stake to clean and refill

This is a great product I have 2 of them currently and have owned four. The hummingbirds love them and easily attract them better than my other feeders! Things I have noticed to cause leaks….. 1.) Hanging them in branches that sway a lot in the wind. Find a sturdy branch that doesn't give much in the wind. 2.) Other larger birds that like tree sap from maples, they land on them trying to get to the sugar water and cause leaks. This happens with all my feeders though. I have a few different types. Try to move them around and scare of the bigger birds if you can... 3.) I have hung these out a little to early in spring time and have lost two of them due to cold weather. The bases get hairline fractures in them when they freeze. Very hard to see. It took me a while to catch what causing the leaks on this one. Other than these 3 things I have had no problems with them and the hummingbirds love them. going to get more of these! Great buy!!!

Answer:	This feeder has an ant moat built into the red lid. To keep ants out of the feeder, it should be filled with water.

Answer:	Yes, I find it very easy to clean, which I do every 2-3 days. I just use very hot tap water, soap, and a bottle brush.

The hummingbird feeder holds approximately 8 ounces (1 cup) of liquid. To refill the feeder, use a container with a spout (such as a measuring cup) to pour directly in one of the holes (with flowers removed). Between refills, rinse with warm water. As with most hummingbird feeders, place in a mostly shady location during hot summer months and bring indoors in temperatures below 32-degrees fahrenheit.

Question:	How can you deter wasps from this
Answer:	I spray a peppermint solution on the hanging wire, before placing the feeder out. This feeder actually didn’t do well. Near impossible to clean and the hummers just don’t like it

Answer:	It is very small and fragile. The flowers come out and you can clean it that way.

Answer:	Yes you can. It comes completely out of the metal stake. Easy to clean and refill. It is very pretty!!!!
