| Answer: | Wish you had read my previous response. The paint around that area needs to be sanded down some on the bottom pole to adequately slide the poles together. The system will still be very sturdy where you slammed it down, just know the measurement for the height adjuster will be an inch or two off. Otherwise try to spray some WD40 in the cracks to slide it down more. You should be fine. |
