Answer:	Since you are using gel caps they may not have to be refrigerated but if using Flaxseed Oil which comes usually in a brown bottle this must be refrigerated. To be certain I would ask your local Vitamin Shop.

Answer:	Mine smell fairly neutral, a slight plastic like smell which I think is just the bottle. Otherwise they seem quite good.
