Answer:	I do not believe this backpack is waterproof. I just used it on a trip to Washington DC and we walked outside and it was very hot. I packed it full of ice and then added two bottles of water (16.9oz each). My back was cool the whole time I wore this. (That was nice!) As the condensation built up, I did have a little leakage into the next pocket over ...however everything in the backpack was in ziplock bags just in case bc I wasn’t sure if this would happen or not. It wasn’t much and I was impressed how little the condensation leaked out! Great pack. Also while out, we were caught in a major downpour. I had an umbrella but the pack got very wet. Everything inside remained dry! The bottom of the pack had water just running out of it and I could wrong more water out of it. The inside of the bottom did get wet(I never set the pack down that was just from water running off me and the unbrellla) but I wrung it out and patted it dry with napkins when we stopped. It was good to go the rest of the day. This pack did not disappoint. Held all my stuff, kept my water ‘head freeze’ ice cold, and provided me with a days worth of water. The last day we were out I knew it wouldn’t be as hot and not as much walking. I took out the water pack and tube and just used this as a backpack. I had an umbrella in one side pocket and a water bottle in another and all my stuff inside. Highly recommend this pack!!

Answer:	It would definitely work since my brother is a big guy 6'3", 210 and there is still room left. It’s light, long, and has a nice storage bag with it. You can also unzip it leave your feet outside or converted it to a blanket. The waterproof and windproof shell and soft lining make me feel warm and comfortable. Glad to buy it.
