Question:	I have had this product for about 2 weeks. In the past few days it began to smell reallly bad. It smells like old faithful. Does anyone elses smell
Answer:	i keep mine in the refrigerator to avoid that situation from happening. It is probably spoiled. First, check the expiration date on the bottle, if it is still supposed to be good, you may want to look around the storage area you had it in for local heat sources that can sour it, such as: periods of direct sunlight during the day, sitting in front of the heat vent, etc. These can spoil the product in short order. Like I said, I keep mine in the fridge just to be safe, (all my liquids for my tank are in the fridge, even tho they do not require it.) I hope that helps. for what it is worth, the smell I get from a fresh one has a tang of aloe vera to it, smelling like a swimming pool kinda smell, minus the chlorine.
Question:	What's the difference between the tap water conditioner, the stress coat conditoner & the stress zyme. I'm confused, do I need all three for my biorb
Answer:	Looking at the ounces needed per gallon, the stress coat treats 60 gallons per ounce while the tap water conditioner treats 600 gallons per ounce. It looks like the stress coat does more things to protect the fish, but the tap water conditioner will treat more tap water per bottle.
Question:	Can I use it for the water I use to water my plants? My plants don't do well with my tap water. Thanks
Answer:	Late to the game, but I think this question needs a better answer; is this safe for plants? YES. Bog and fresh water plants are just as sensitive to their environment (if not more) than terrestrial plants and this product works great in planted tanks. This does nothing to change PH, so if your soil has a PH problem this wont fix it. Be aware this is an expensive solution for house plants, you might find something cheaper at a garden center or the cheapest solution is letting the water 'gas out' if your only problem is chlorine. When I had only about a gallons worth of water changes, I bought a mop bucket just for my betta fish, pored water into it and let it sit out for two days so the chlorine gas could work its way out. Never had an issue. Now I have a bigger tank so mixing water on the fly is much less hassle then having a bunch of buckets sitting around.

Answer:	I have a 10 gallon tank & take out approx. 2 gallons of water once a week and replace the two gallons of water with 5ml or 1 teaspoon of gold fish protect added to it.

Answer:	Depends on how much water you changed. 50% I would dose based on tank size. A simple top off...then based on added. Also check your parameters. If they are off then you will want to add more. I am fortunate to have very good city water, so I don't need to use this every time I top off my tank (and my tank for goldies is 180 gallons). If I do a 50% I'll add two of these.

Question:	Does this clean the water right away so i can add fish right after or wait for it to settle
Answer:	I would recommend API Stress Zyne Plus. My fish kept dying for the first few weeks. It took almost 8 weeks to for the tank to cycle. So get 2 or 3 fist to start and nothing fancy. Keep testing for Amonia levels. Once the tank cycles, it should be at 0. Then you can get fish you want to keep.
Question:	How often are you supposed to use this product
Answer:	The directions state 25 ml per 10 gallons on day 1 (100 ml) and then 10 ml per 10 gallons on day 2 and 3 (40 ml per day) so a total of 180 ml for your 40 gallon breader. I do a sustainment treatment every week of 5 ml per 10 gallons (another 20 ml). I think this is a great way to get and keep a large colony of beneficial bacteria. Good luck with the new tank!
Question:	Do you have to treat the water and then put it in the tank or can you do water change and then immediately add this stuff? I've been adding water and then this stuff rigth after in the tank
Answer:	The smaller 4 oz size would be great for a 6 gallon tank. It would last for quite awhile but not so long you would not have fresh product available when you do reorder. Add a few drops to your filter after cleaning it to jump start beneficial enhancers there as well.
Question:	can I use this with my live plant tank? will it bad for the live plant
Answer:	If you're looking to set up a new tank, i'd use the biggest bottle possible; the more bacteria the better the start you'll have. However, this is not a product i generally recommend, because the bacteria contained in these bottles are temporary spot holders for the real bacteria to colonize your filter after a few weeks. I'd rather you get microbelift's nite out II or Dr tims one and only (a bit more expensive), which contains the actual bacteria your filter needs.

Answer:	I have only used them in rubbermaid tanks. They are designed for them because of the thread design.

Answer:	I have had several of these & they should have the rubber washer. It seals the hole and keeps it from leaking. Call the manufacturer they should send them to you.
Question:	Is betta fix the same as meta fix
Answer:	If you have a Rubbermaid tank, there is a hole at the bottom of the tank that is used for this heater. Simply run the cord through the hole and use the plastic nut and gaskets to secure to the heater. Really a simple install with a Rubbermaid tank. If using another brand of tank, you will have to cut a hole in the tank the size of the treads on the heater. It willl then install easily! Good luck !!

Question:	Can i use this for my fish and my baby turtle? they live in the same tnak
Answer:	Yes, it will work for both. The turtle requires much different care than fish though and it is usually recommended to not house fish and turtles together. Turtles will also eat fish they are able to catch.
Question:	My 30 gallon aquarium has an oil like film in the water and the tank is not cloudy but hard to see through.. What can I do
Answer:	Sorry to hear that, Blessing, but that is fairly easy to remedy! You have too much waste in the water, most likely in the form of phosphates. This is typically due to overfeeding, but can also be caused by tap water. In most cases, move your partial water changes to once a week. Vacuum the gravel, remove 20% of the water each time, and add new, conditioned water back to the tank. Fish only require one flake per inch of body length at each meal and this equates to feeding what they can eat in 2 minutes or less. If you have a tall 30, not a long one, add a powerhead or air stone down near the bottom of the tank to provide more circulation and aeration as well. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Question:	If i add this to a new tank setup,wait 24 hours for it to be safe,then add SafeStart plus for cycle to start and add 3goldfishes right after,is it ok
Answer:	Yes, as long as you literally meant to add SafeStart Plus within moments of adding the fish. To be able to add 3 goldfish, your tank should be at least a 30 gallon one though.
Question:	Is this stuff okay to use with triops? Also, when treating a one-gallon tank, how many servings would this have

As the previous customer stated below, it would last quite a while for such a small tank at a dosing rate of 1/5 of a teaspoon. 8.45 oz treats up to 500 gallons of water at the rate of one teaspoon per ten gallons of water.

Question:	Is it possible to put too much in a tank
Answer:	nope! I overdose everytime I add water or do water changes lol. If I'm only adding a few gallons I just pour a little in the pitcher with each gallon I fill up so I know sometimes I too much comes out too fast. trust me if there was such a thing as an overdose on this I would know it lol!
Question:	How do I measure out the exact amount for a 2.5 gallon tank? Because the lid, only has a 5ml measurement for 10 gallon tank, if i remember correctly
Answer:	It's .5ml per gallon, so you'd need a syringe or pipette (which is what I use) to measure out 1.5ml

Answer:	To be honest it is the worst filter I have ever had. I had water issues for months. I finally went and got a fluval filter. I was intimidated but it came with the media it needed and now I can’t figure out why I haven’t always used them. Toss the filter and get a fluval.

Answer:	This product is not meant to eliminates your NITRITE levels overnight I believe it just encouraged the growth of the bacteria's that are required to eliminate ammonia and nitrite so will that work overtime yes will it work immediately no I would use seachem prime to neutralize ammonia nitrite and nitrate immediately
Question:	Noob question how much of this do I use on a 32 gallon biocube? It’s a new tank I can’t find any measuring cups for ML anywhere n my town
Answer:	Once your tank has been fed regularly for a few days either with out without fish to start the bacterial cycle, add half during the first week and the other half during the 2nd. Add a small amount after water changes is also a good idea for upkeep. Buy 2 bottles.

Answer:	It will not kill your invert food source. It’s bacteria that’s beneficial to your aquarium

Answer:	If by existing you mean live stock in it? Yes, and if you mean no stock but ammonia, yes again. You might be better off doing a water change if you have life in tank though. If you dose this you will have to monitor nitrite and nitrate cycles.

Answer:	Great question, T.C.! Easy Balance does not reduce nitrates, Easy Balance Plus has one extra ingredient that allows it to reduce the nitrates as well as balance pH and alkalinity, added minerals, etc.

Answer:	Not if you are hoping to lower the hardness. This product was designed specifically for people who tend to do infrequent partial water changes. When water changes are not often enough, organic matter drives down the pH and hardness. This product helps to add buffers and bring those levels back to within a good balance. It will prevent hardness from dropping. To soften water, add aquarium safe driftwood or mopani wood.

Answer:	It does at first but clears up within a few hours.

Answer:	I think one would work just fine. The only time I used two tablets was when my fish tank was 5 gallons... and at that point I had snails in there as well, did not hurt them a bit!
Question:	What is the difference between these and the liquid conditioners? Says water ready immediately, is that not the case with the liquid conditioners
Answer:	Actually, SoCalAvAZ, liquid conditioners are faster. They do their job and break down much more quickly. These take a few minutes to dissolve. The only reason we carry tablets is that some people find them easier to dose, rather than measuring liquid.
