How to use the temperature setting?

Auto Shut Off When Out of Water

• When the heater top is out of water, it will stop heating, the led displaying E1, it means you should put the heater fully submerged.
• It will work normally again when the heater is fully in water again, it has memory function, no need extra setting.

Over Heating Protection

• When the water temp is higher than 95℉, the turtle heater will stop heating and the set button is failure, you can't do any setting on the controller, led displaying HH.

Thermostatically speaking, the 100 watt should shut off anyway when it reaches your set temperature, but I am just not "feeling it" to be a good choice for that 1.5 gal. tank. Good Luck either way.

Answer:	Not sure. Would have to make sure it does not rest on plastic liner. Heats water to very high temps. I have to keep unplugging it while heating hot tub. Goes well over 110 degrees. Too hot for fish.

Answer:	I use mine to heat my 300 gallon stock tank pool. I use a filter with chlorine bleach. The heater works beautifully. When I take it out before we get in the pool, I wipe it down with a small towel. White residue will form but it comes off easily. I used it daily last summer August through September. Just set up the pool again yesterday and it’s working fine.

Answer:	The little "wall-wort" power supply will work with ether 110 OR 220 as will many switching power supplies. "Submerged into a pool?" The light bar; YES as it is fed 12 volts (class 2 low voltage) and appears to be pretty well sealed. The power supply: NO!!! High voltage and water together is what engineers refer to as a "BAD IDEA" and could change your plans for a future.

Answer:	The polisher uses an Aqueon Large Cartridge which should be replaced monthly. In the canister itself most of the media does not get replaced. The bottom tray is biological (bio balls and ceramic pieces) which unless there is physical damage do not get replaced. The top tray is a course media sponge which should be rinsed out and put back in and the middle is the charcoal which does need to be replaced no less than once a quarter. All of these replacement items are available from Aqueon.
