Answer:	The thicker short white cylindrical end is where the dirty water gets sucked in. The long thin nuzzle next to the blue pump is where water gets pumped out. I am assuming that you would like to remove the thin little discharging end tip and then connect a hose to the blue discharging pump in order to lead the dirty water further away. The discharging end of the pump is 7/8",---- seven eighth of an inch . This is measured from the outside edge to the outside edge. That is, your connecting hose has to measure 7/8" inch on the inside. The two hoses could only overlap by 1/2 inch. Hope it'll workout.

Answer:	If the the length will reach to your bucket. Then it will work. But maybe you will need to drain water to bucket many times for each water changing. There are also 25ft and 50ft version in our store for you to choose from.

Answer:	You can use it in any size tank it just drains real slow
Question:	How dose this woŕk do put water in bucket or sink
Answer:	There is instruction included. All you need to do is to pinch the siphon ball several times, water will flow out automatically. Please look through the 5th picture carefully before you place an order. If your sink has higher level than the "intake". It would doesn't work then. So use bucket is a good choice as soon as you keep it lower than "intake".
Question:	Not needed for aquarium cleaning; just need to generate vacuum with hose. Is the 8.7" hard gravel tube required or can I just use the 1/2" hose
Answer:	If you have small fish they can be sucked into the hose. The gravel tube has a screen in it to keep from sucking up fish or gravel. If your using the clip on the side of the aquarium to hold the hose, the hose can easily pull out of it but the gravel tube will not fit through it.
