Answer:	It could be. If you have gnarled fingers due to rheumatoid arthritis you could have a problem with this product. My wife definitely cannot squeeze the bottle with one hand enough to get it to work, nor is she able to manipulate the open/close valve.

Answer:	I don't really understand the need. On a walk, I carry it on my wrist. If I put it in a hand bag, it doesn't spill. Not sure how it would get dirty. If it does, can be wiped off.

Answer:	Yes.
Question:	Is this water bottle sturdy enough to stand on its own without water in it
Answer:	If you are going to freeze it then I would only partially fill it or it may bust, but the plastic is very thick so it may not. HOwever , my biggest complaint is that you have to consistently squeeze the bottle, and that's not very comfortable. If you have a very small dog I guess that's ok, but if you have a large dog then I suggest you get something else. My dog was too big for this and I actually gave it to my neighbor with a small dog.

Here is our solution to this hassle. We designed one pet water bottle with a reservoir/bowl/well built in. You are able to dispense water into the reservoir by simply pressing one button on the bottle. The bottle holds 15.2 oz of water, which is roughly three fourths of the capacity of a typical 20 oz soda bottle. It is made of clean food-grade safe BPA free plastic. The water safety of your pet is our top concern. The bottle is also designed to fit into most vehicle cup holders and side pockets of backpacks. Attention:

Instructions:
