I did this and it's exactly the same thing. but.. 2. test your USB adapter that goes into the wall. I got the new pump and then discovered it wasn't the pump, it was the power adapter. That was, until when I had dismantled it to clean one day, I just so happen to notice that there was a thick, coats of grime and what appeared to be acid buildup from the battery that supplied energy to the pump apparatus. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. But then when I took it apart with a screwdriver just so that I could clean it out and take a better look at it, I nearly threw up. The pump which is about 2" x 2", had about 3 in.² of God knows what growing inside of it. It resembled a brownish petroleum jelly, and I had to scrub it out with a toxic degreaser, which I did for about 25 minutes before just throwing it away. A few weeks later I bought a brand-new machine altogether, and he drink out of it for about three days and then gave it up. So to answer your question, no I don't. As I said, mine loved it. But if you do get one, just please take into account what I said and even though the pump may not look dirty, regularly clean it out and look inside of the vents of the pump to see is anything has "grown" within it. I felt so horrible for making him drink out of what probably tasted like used toilet water, that I babied him for weeks; that is, after paying $300 to the vet to get him healthy again. Be careful. |

One note: If the pump is not working and the adapter part is ok, trying running a strong vinegar solution through the fountain for several hours first. Often all that is wrong is mineral build up. |

| Answer: | I don't believe so. If you yank on your pet's fur hard enough to bend any blades, you deserve to get mauled! Just kidding. These are very sturdy blades, and unless you ran over the tool with your car, I don't know how you could accidentally damage them. And if someone managed to bend a blade, you can probably get it back where it belongs with needle nose pliers. Just guessing, of course. I don't see the blades ever getting damaged in normal use; they're way tougher than a pet's ability to resist having fur pulled out that hard! In fact, I prefer this brand to another one I own because it's narrower and therefore doesn't pull as much hair. Hope that helps. |

| Answer: | It is normal and very simple to fix. The issue is not lack of water, but debris getting stuck to the pump rotor, causing a vibration. Remove the pump. Remove the slotted cover from the front of the pump. Remove the circular cover which sits directly behind the slotted cover. At this point you will see the yellow rotor. Remove the rotor by pulling it out. It's held in place by magnets. Clean the rotor and reinstall. Problem solved. |

| Answer: | This is still an issue. I bought a 5 pack back in May 2020 and 2 of the filters looked poorly sealed. I noticed some black residue (maybe charcoal?) that normally is inside the filter ended up loose on the edge of it. I trimmed around the edge to remove it, and that helped with one of them. But yeah, this shouldn't be happening. I'm gonna try and purchase one more time to see if it happens again. |

| Answer: | I've been using the flower fountain for years. You need to keep the water level lower than the bottom of the filter so that the water coming through the top can actually pass through it to be filtered. You also need to rinse the filter thoroughly every day and refill with fresh water every day. Its just a little carbon filter, the water still needs dumped and refilled daily! I look at it like, if I wouldn't drink two day old water, I dont want my cat drinking it either! Scrub the parts with dish soap (not the filter, though obviously) at least once a week (or more if you have hard water and are seeing build-up on the flower earlier than that.) Take the front cover off the pump when you scrub everything to get any gunk out that has built up inside. I use a baby-bottle nipple brush to clean these tiny parts. I've never had an issue. Remember, the point of a fountain is to entice finicky kitties to drink more often because they prefer running water. Fountains are not a way to get out of providing new, fresh water every day! If your filter is backing up, it's full of sludge from your days-old water or you're filling the water level too high. Also, it states that a brand new filter may have some carbon dust come through. I just try to really rinse those filters thoroughly before placing. |
