13 best green tea bags
Green tea bags are a common and convenient way to enjoy green tea, a popular beverage known for its health benefits and refreshing flavor. Here's what you need to know about green tea bags:
Green Tea Type: Green tea bags contain green tea leaves, which come from the Camellia sinensis plant. Green tea is less processed than black tea, which helps it retain more of its natural compounds and antioxidants.
Flavor Profile: Green tea has a mild and slightly grassy or vegetal flavor. The taste can vary depending on the specific type of green tea and how it's processed.
Health Benefits: Green tea is renowned for its potential health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, which may help protect cells from damage, support cardiovascular health, and promote weight management. It is also often associated with increased metabolism and fat burning.
Convenience: Green tea bags are a convenient way to prepare green tea. They are pre-measured and can be easily steeped in hot water. This makes them ideal for quick and easy tea preparation.
Variety: Green tea bags are available in a wide variety of flavors and blends. Some common options include plain green tea, green tea with added herbs or fruits, and flavored green teas such as jasmine green tea.
Caffeine Content: Green tea contains caffeine, but the levels are generally lower than those found in black tea or coffee. If you're looking for a milder caffeine boost, green tea can be a good choice.
Brewing Instructions: To make green tea using tea bags, you typically bring water to just below boiling (around 175-185°F or 80-85°C), then steep the tea bag for 2-3 minutes. Steeping too long or with water that's too hot can result in a bitter taste.
Packaging: Green tea bags are usually individually wrapped or packaged in a sealed container to maintain freshness. This packaging helps protect the tea from moisture and light.
Storage: It's important to store green tea bags in a cool, dry place away from strong odors to preserve their flavor and aroma.
Brand Variations: There are numerous brands that produce green tea bags, and the quality and taste can vary between brands. Some popular brands offer organic and sustainably sourced options for those who prefer environmentally friendly choices.
In conclusion, green tea bags offer a convenient and accessible way to enjoy the health benefits and unique flavor of green tea. They come in various flavors and blends, making it easy to find a green tea that suits your taste preferences.

Question: | My nettle arrived, and in spite of your description saying it is 100% from the usa, why does my 16 ounce bag state: raw from bulgaria |
Answer: | It’s saying it’s 100% organic certified in the US. |
Question: | What Are The Benefits Of Using This Product |
Answer: | Nettle is considered a blood-purifier because it supports the liver and kidneys, while gently detoxing the body. User questions & answers
Question: | Does ANYBODY know the antioxidant content when brewing one single bag? The Bigelows don't respond on their website, twitter, facebook, etc |
Answer: | Green tea contains compounds called catechins (a subset of a group of compounds called polyphenols) that in test tube studies show antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antitumorigenic, and antimicrobial properties. The main catechin found in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Consumer Lab did a study on many popular green teas and found Bigelows to have 25.0 mg EGCG and 60.9 mg total catechins. Bigalow organic and decaf green teas were higher. This compares to Lipton Green Tea that had the highest of all tested at 71.1 mg EGCG and 188.1 mg total catechins. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Is this organic |
Answer: | I am not sure. I know Bigelow has a good reputation in the market. |
Question: | What is the country of origin for this tea? Where's it grown |
Answer: | I only drink the Earl Grey Green Tea. The Bergamot oil comes from Calabria Italy but nothing is mentioned where the green tea is grown. Sorry |
Question: | pack means 6 boxes with 40 tea bags in each |
Answer: | 6 packs means 6 boxes with each box containing 20 individually wrapped bags. I have ordered this MANY times. |

User questions & answers
Question: | The ingredients say artificial flavors; would that include sweeteners of any kind |
Answer: | Based on some digging online from people who have emailed H&S, it seems that at least one of the flavorings is cinnamaldehyde, a pure version of an oil found in cinnamon and used to give cinnamon candies and cinnamon flavored gum a spicy, sweet flavor. It is possible that is what is the source of the sweetness. Because it is classified as a flavoring and not a sweetener, they can label it as a flavoring. |
Question: | packaging |
Answer: | The individual packaged tea bags came in a Red and olive green cardboard box, count of 50 bags. This tea along with the Earl Grey tea we purchased, were packed in another container, well packed and labeled. Harney and Sons always provide superior products. I hope this info is what you were looking for. |
Question: | Contain peppermint leaves only? or with other parts of the plant |
Answer: | Peppermint leaves only. 100% peppermint leaves. |
Question: | Is this same as Harney and Sons Classic Tea Sachet in Tin, Paris, 20 Count? Because I've tried both and they taste and smell different |
Answer: | Well, to be honest, I haven't used a 20-count tea sachet in so long that I don't remember what they taste like. I've been buying the 50-count box because it was such a better deal. I can tell you this, I have never been disappointed in the tea bags in the 50-count box. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What material is used for the tea bag and is it organic |
Answer: | Thank you for your question! We can confirm that the filter paper used for our tea bags is 100% natural, but it is not certified organic. We use a non-heat sealable filtration paper made from a select blend of high quality manila hemp (abaca) fibers and wood pulp. This paper is oxygen bleached using a natural process free of chemicals or toxins. In addition, our tea bag filtration paper does not contain GMOs, gluten, corn nor any of the eight FDA recognized allergens (tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat or soybeans). We hope this helps! |
Question: | Does this tea contain potassium and if so, how much |
Answer: | No note of any contained potassium on the box. Only listed are the tea herbs and flavors. |
Question: | Where is this made and distributed from |
Answer: | This Green Tea Super Antioxidant is manufactured in the USA. |
Question: | what do you mean by a 6 pack. I see the same item with 16 bags for $3.99 why is this more expensive |
Answer: | Each pack of Yogi contains 16 tea bags. What I order is 6 of these packs in a box. So you would get 6*16 = 96 tea bags that is good for about month and half on average of 2 bags a day use. so I've setup subscribe and save for every 2 months. |

User questions & answers
Question: | how many tea bags come with the box |
Answer: | Case of six 20-count boxes (total of 120 individually wrapped tea bags) |
Question: | So if I order this I get 6 boxes with 20 bags each |
Answer: | The product page for the Twinnings tea has multiple selections for both flavor and size. One of the size options is 20 Count (Pack of 6) but another option is 20 Count which is just a single box. I was just looking at the Winter Spice flavor and noticed that the Pack of 6 for that flavor actually costs more than 6 times the cost of the single box. So it's worth checking the different options. |
Question: | Are these tea bags individually wrapped |
Answer: | I actually bought the box for my niece away at college. But, if memory serves me correctly, I believe that all of the tea bags are not individually wrapped. They come in one sealable bag. |
Question: | Could Amazon please put the reviews that actually go with this product, rather than all Twinings teas combined |
Answer: | I have found that when reviewing a specific tea I find that review on other tea products. I at first thought it was my mistake but after several attempts to correct the review I reached the conclusion it is a software issue. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are the *boxes* individually wrapped? I want to send this to a food bank, but want them to be able to distribute to 6 families |
Answer: | The boxes are not wrapped in plastic. They are individually sealed in cardboard boxes by flavor like you would buy at the grocery store (and as shown in the picture). And as mentioned the tea bags inside the sealed boxes are also individually wrapped in the standard foil/paper packet. |
Question: | is bigelow green tea with lemon decafe |
Answer: | If a tea is decaffeinated, the description will say so. From the question box, I can't actually see which tea you're looking at, but unless it says so, I'd say no. |
Question: | individually packaged |
Answer: | Yes, individual bags in 20 bag cartons. |
Question: | are the teabags individally packaged |
Answer: | Yes. There are 20 individually packaged teabags in each box. |

What makes ours so special is that we use only hand-picked tea from high elevation gardens and then we gently process it, bringing out that natural flavor people have been enjoying for centuries. Our tea is not harsh, not too grassy but smooth and very delicate... easy to drink. Enjoy the whole cup.
About the Brand
The Bigelow Tea Story Beginning the moment our founder, Ruth Campbell Bigelow created "Constant Comment" Tea in her kitchen in 1945, our family has focused on just one thing trying to make the finest teas possible. Over the years we have introduced many new flavors as well as concepts in tea. Today we offer a selection of deliciously different blends of teas and green teas, a wide variety of herbal teas and teas flavored with real fruit juice. Today Bigelow Tea is the number one specialty tea company in the United States. And to think it all began with the first legendary black tea flavored with golden orange rind and sweet spice "Constant Comment"Tea. Bigelow takes immense pride in providing the tea drinking community with the best tea at a great value. We only use hand- picked teas, real spices, flavors and herbs. The flavors and blends we have created are second to none. Some of our teas contain up to twenty different ingredients! And because tea is a leaf that can dry out we take steps to protect it. To keep the teas fresh, we seal our tea bags in protective packets. We simply have to protect those delightful flavors. That's why a cup of Bigelow Tea is aromatic and delicious; a true indulgence for the senses.

User questions & answers
Question: | What are your tea bags made out of? Do they leach chemicals into the tea |
Answer: | i asked the same question to the Bigelow and they mailed the below answer.est assured, our tea bag paper, is made from abaca fibers and wood pulp and is 100% biodegradable. It is an oxygenated process which leaves the paper dioxin and chlorine free.As a family company, your safety and confidence in our company means everything to us.We hope this information is helpful in responding to your inquiry. The Bigelow Family thanks you for choosing Bigelow Teas. |
Question: | Do the tea bags come individually packaged or are all the tea bags loose |
Answer: | I have only purchased the "Mango" tea, which is my favorite, in which all the tea bags are individually packaged. I would imagine they are packaged the same in this, but since I never bought it that I can remember that's the best help I can give you. Have a nice day. |
Question: | Does this help, burn fat ? and help boost metobolism |
Answer: | Here are a couple of links to help you out: http://www.health.harvard.edu/press_releases/benefit_of_drinking_green_teahttp://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART02914/How-to-Boost-Green-Tea-Benefits.htmlhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/20/green-tea-benefits-health_n_1988290.htmlI know that I do not feel as hungry or get as many cravings for junk food when I drink it consistently. Best to you! |
Question: | where is tea grown and made in? what does the box say? thanks a lot |
Answer: | I think the labels should be checked, because some of them do show "Product of China" on the box and tea bag packaging. I'd like to upload a photos of the one I was reviewing on Amazon, but I don't see that function with answering this question. But maybe this link will help. https://www.amazon.com/Bigelow-100-Percent-Tea-150-Count-Individually/dp/B08D1Z4FDW/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2NWTGNVIRDFUH&dchild=1&keywords=bigelow+green+tea&qid=1607016926&sprefix=bigalow+gree%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-6 |
Question: | hi, i'd like to know if this item is kosher certified. thanks |
Answer: | Tea is a naturally kosher product. No need for hechsher. |
Question: | Is there caffeine in this |
Answer: | I assume there is because it does not state that it’s caffeine free, normally coffee products and two products state clearly that they are caffeine free if there is no caffeine in the product so I’m assuming there is caffeine in this green tea. Not sure if I’m just immune to caffeine but I don’t feel the same effects from it as I would if I had a strong cup of caffeinated coffee, I actually have had this green tea and did not have trouble sleeping |
Question: | what are the ingredients |
Answer: | Reading from the box: "Ingredients: Organic Green Tea produced exclusively for No Limit , LLC; NEWMAN'S OWN, INC., WESTPOINT, CT 06880, Certified Organic by QAI, 2018 No Limit, LLC visit NewmansOwn.com for more food information" I drink green tea myself and wanted to try a different brand. I'm no expert, but I like it and also like that all their profits go to charity. |
Question: | Is this product made in USA |
Answer: | Tea is not grown in the USA, and it may not be packaged here either. So. at best it must come from somewhere in Asia. The package does not specify but most likely Zeijiang Province, China, as most green teas are grown and processed there. |

Question: | Any advice for making iced green tea with this brand? (Number of bags, timing, etc |
Answer: | Not sure about that. I drink mine hot. I use one bag for 6 oz cup. It would probably be fine for 8oz as well. I am guessing 8 bags would make 2 quarts but if you steep green tea too long, it gets bitter. |
Question: | How many milligrams of caffeine is in each tea bag |
Answer: | I checked the box and it did not say. Sorry. |
Question: | Is this tea organic |
Answer: | Probably not registered organic. I like that it is from Japan. It's got the bright green taste and seems luxurious. |
Question: | ryokucha mena s what |
Answer: | Ryokucha simply means "grean tea" in japanese, 緑茶 |
- Imozai organic green tea is freshly harvested from a tea plantion in China
- USDA Certified Organic

User questions & answers
Question: | Are the tea bags paper? And are they glued or stapled shut? Do they have a string attached |
Answer: | Yes, paper bag, string, crimped shut (not sure if any glue). No staples |
Question: | Where is this from |
Answer: | China. |
Question: | is it decaffeinated |
Answer: | Box does not indicate that it’s de caffeinated. |
Question: | Is this and other teas from this line using unbleached bags |
Answer: | I would not recommend the purchase of the tea. It is not very good tea. The essence is very, very weak. You have to use two tea bags per cop, and even with that, the flavor is not very good at all. Great packaging, but the product is disappointing. |

About the Brand
Lipton is the world's best-known and best-selling brand of tea, and is the global market leader in both leaf and ready-to-drink tea, with a global market share nearly three times larger than its nearest rival. Available in more than 110 countries, Lipton is particularly popular in Europe, North America, and the Middle East and parts of Asia.
Lipton is a member of the Unilever family of brands.
About Unilever
Unilever brands are trusted everywhere; in fact, 150 million times a day, someone somewhere chooses a Unilever product. Among its many well-known food brands are Bestfoods, Knorr, Birds Eye, Bertolli, Lipton, and Ben & Jerry's. Many of its home care and personal care products are market leaders, including Brilhante, Cif, Comfort, Dove, Lux, Pond's, Rexona and Sunsilk. In other words, look in your refrigerator, freezer, or bathroom cabinet, and you're likely to find a Unilever product.
In the 1890s, William Hesketh Lever, founder of Lever Bros., wrote down his ideas for Sunlight Soap--his revolutionary new product that helped popularize cleanliness and hygiene in Victorian England. His idea was "to make cleanliness commonplace; to lessen work for women; to foster health and contribute to personal attractiveness, that life may be more enjoyable and rewarding for the people who use our products." This was long before the phrase "Corporate Mission" had been invented, but these ideas have continued to guide the practices of Unilever ever since, even if Lever's language and the notion of only women doing housework has become outdated.
In the late 19th century, the businesses that would later become Unilever were among the most philanthropic of their time. They set up projects to improve the lot of their workers and created products with a positive social impact, making hygiene and personal care commonplace and improving nutrition through adding vitamins to foods that were already daily staples. Today, Unilever still believes that success means, as its corporate principles state, acting with "the highest standards of corporate behavior towards our employees, consumers and the societies and world in which we live." Over the years the company has launched or participated in an ever-growing range of initiatives to source sustainable supplies of raw materials, protect environments, support local communities, and much more.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can these be used in a reusable k cup |
Answer: | I do you use these in My k-cup. I take out all the extra pieces for the K-Cup and then put my tea bags inside as usual. As I'm closing it I make sure the little needle the punctures the K-Cups will not puncture the tea bags. So you can't put like five tea bags inside but for a normal cup of tea yes certainly. |
Question: | Does this have sugar in it |
Answer: | No sugar. Really good tea. Just tea. |
Question: | how many bags total |
Answer: | The inventory our company have are 240 Tea bags total. Thx |

How to Make Iced Tea
To make a quart of iced tea, brew four tea bags in two cups of boiling water in heatproof pitcher. Brew 1 to 1-1/2 minutes; remove tea bags and sweeten to taste. Stir in three cups of ice cubes until melted and keep the tea refrigerated until ready to serve.
Lipton Green Tea: A Refreshing Way to Brighten Your Day
Green tea is comprised of younger, smaller tea leaves that don't go through the same oxidation process as black leaves, and therefore have a smooth, delicate taste that combines well with other flavors. These tea leaves are also high in flavonoids, a group of plant metabolites found naturally in fruits and vegetables, and thought to provide health benefits. Lipton offers an array of delicious green tea choices. Jasmine green teas add a floral note to the brew, while tangy blends like Cranberry Pomegranate and Acai Dragonfruit feature an infusion of juicy fruits.
Sustainably Sourced and Rainforest Alliance Certified
Like all of Lipton's tea, Lipton Decaffeinated Green Tea is Rainforest Alliance Certified. This means that Lipton works with the Rainforest Alliance to improve the social, environmental, and economic conditions of the people who grow and pick every leaf in your cup. Currently, Lipton operates a Rainforest Alliance Certified tea estate in Kericho, Kenya, and is committed to worldwide sustainability for Lipton Tea.
Lipton Tea: From Tea Garden to Tea Pot
The world's leading tea brand, sold in over 150 countries, the Lipton story began in 1880 when Glasgow-born entrepreneur Sir Thomas Lipton envisioned an opportunity to make tea universally accessible with quality at acceptable prices. In 1890, he began purchasing tea estates in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), and packaged and sold the first Lipton tea. Staying true to his vision, he arranged packaging and shipping at low costs to sell his teas directly from the tea garden to the tea pot. In 1893, he officially established the Thomas J Lipton Co. Today Lipton Tea sources tea from as many as 35 countries to ensure tea-leaf integrity, quality, and freshness. The company also employs tea-tasters -- all of them masters in the harvesting, production, purchase, and blending of more than 3,000 types of tea.
