Answer:	I would screen your chimney. But yes it will kill them the unit would have to be close to the opening. Note this makes a loud pop when a bug gets in the gris. NOTE: Bugs fly in front of the grid but does not get in it. I took a piece of furnace duct metal, cut a square init with a 1" flange sticking out the back , mounted a small bathroom exhaust fan to it. I then mounted the fan and metal plate to the back of the unit. the fan now sucks the bugs into the grid. Makes a 300 to 400 % improvement in bug kills. ( I should get a sizable royalty from the manufacturer for tilling them how to improve it.)

Spiders are not insects, they're arachnids, but as someone who has used straight pure peppermint oil to ease stomach upset, i can easily see how it could kill ANYTHING. To take it internally myself, it comes in a little dropper bottle that lets it drip out. i put one little drop on my little finger, and then very carefully, i barely touch the tip of my tongue to it. This has a powerful impact where my whole mouth feels saturated in peppermint oil and it's intense, very intense, it can make my eyes burn a little just from the slight vapor. To spray a fairly concentrated amount on anything is going to disable it and i have no doubt it could kill. I had a guy come out and use peppermint oil to kill a wasp nest that had been built on the grill covering the window on my backdoor, when i went in and out of that door, like to empty the trash, a wasp would sting me, i had no prior experience with wasps and i didn't know where they were coming from. The exterminator showed me where they were. He suited up and used a big applicator and saturated them with peppermint oil (as i requested) and removed what was left of the nest, that was 4 years ago and i haven't seen any wasps since. The scent of it will remain in the material it's sprayed on long after you can't smell it in the air anymore. My point is that, not only can it be used to kill, it can also be used to deter. i got a deterrent version on Amazon, the brand is Grandpa Gus's Rodent Repellant. It works. It's pretty diluted but i've used it in areas with carpenter ants and then disappear. I've inadvertently used it on a spider when spraying something else more than once, and they clearly cringe and begin fleeing. It would make any living thing flee if used in enough quantity. When i spray the repellent in my house, around the door jams and windows, it really fills up the room with the very strong vapor and my eyes burn a little for as long as an hour. You gotta be careful with it, but i am very happy with it as a bug killer/deterrent. I think this brand makes one specifically for spiders, but i think if it has peppermint oil, it will work on them, even if it's for wasps or anything else.

Question:	Does it matter if the place outside where it's hung gets a lot of sun? Should it be hung in the shade
Answer:	I put it next to the bunny cage where the flies were originating from. I believe it says to have it in a warm place to attract the flies but it does get stinky so the sun will only make that worse. So I guess it depends on the temperature out and proximity to your living space.
Question:	will this work with horse flies
Answer:	Not sure it's necessarily designed for flies of that size, but we've nabbed some pretty giant blowflies/carrion flies in ours...worth a shot to check it out. Do be aware that the "BIG" in "big bag" refers only to the size of the bag for this product.
Question:	How do you know when it is time to replace the bag with a new one
Answer:	I let it hang till it looks like it's going to explode at the seams it's so full. I do not however like the smell that comes with 40,000 dead, rotting flies so at that point it goes in the dumpster. There is a smell when you put a fresh one out but it smells 1,000 times worse when it's reaching max capacity with rotting dead ones in the mix. They'll even lay eggs on their dead buddies so you'll have maggots in there too. I toss around 30 days.

Answer:	Once it's opened its supposed to emit insecticide for several months. I'm not sure if putting it into a ziplock bag could preserve the insecticide - probably not. Once it's opened, it's just a plastic strip impregnated with insecticide - you just hang it up and there is no cleanup. I have found these useful to discourage wasps from nesting in our out-buildings and boats. But...I had one fail me this year, hornets built a nest in a boat despite having one of the no pest strips hanging. So..not 100% effective.

They are located on opposing corners of the house, where they are away from the decks, sidewalks, etc. They work the same way, but are industrial use... light attracts the insects, they get sucked-in, and can't escape... eventually dying of dehydration. I've caught everything from mosquitoes, moths, biting flies, etc. Bees are not attracted to it, normally, but I have captured a carpenter bee, once. These small units are okay for indoor use, or for screened porches.

And you have to realize each communication takes 2 days since you are in different time zone. They will also ignore your email at times. So good luck. How I know this? The nice thing is that they stick on the window very easily and come off just as easily without leaving a sticky residue. Nice product and reasonably priced. We put ours in a lower corner rather than in the middle of the window so as not to obstruct the view.

Answer:	It will kill what you see when sprayed directly on the palmetto bug, but it is not a preventative product. And it does not have a stinky bug spray smell. It smells more like fresh cloves.
