14 best rated electric leaf blower vacuum
A rated electric leaf blower vacuum is a versatile outdoor power tool designed to help with the maintenance of lawns and gardens by clearing leaves and debris. Here are some key points related to electric leaf blowers with vacuum capabilities:
Electric Power:
- Rated electric leaf blowers are powered by electricity, usually via an extension cord plugged into a power outlet. They are known for being quieter than gas-powered alternatives and are generally more environmentally friendly.
Blowing Function:
- The primary function of a leaf blower is to blow leaves and debris away from driveways, sidewalks, and lawns. They use a powerful stream of air to move leaves, grass clippings, and other lightweight debris.
Vacuum Function:
- Many electric leaf blowers come with a vacuum function or a blower/vacuum combo. This allows users to switch between blowing and vacuuming modes. The vacuum function is useful for collecting and mulching leaves.
Mulching Capability:
- The vacuum feature typically includes a mulching mechanism that shreds collected leaves into smaller pieces. Mulched leaves can be used as compost or added to garden beds to improve soil quality.
Variable Speed Settings:
- Most electric leaf blowers come with variable speed settings, allowing users to adjust the airspeed according to the task at hand. Lower speeds are suitable for lighter tasks, while higher speeds are effective for heavier debris.
Corded vs. Cordless:
- Corded electric leaf blowers require access to a power outlet, which may limit mobility but ensures a continuous power supply. Cordless models, powered by rechargeable batteries, offer greater flexibility but may have limited runtime.
Weight and Ergonomics:
- Electric leaf blowers are generally lighter than gas-powered models, making them easier to handle. Look for models with ergonomic designs and features such as padded handles for comfortable use.
Maintenance:
- Electric leaf blowers typically require less maintenance compared to gas-powered models. There is no need for fuel mixing, and they produce fewer emissions.
Noise Level:
- Electric leaf blowers tend to be quieter than their gas counterparts, making them a more neighborhood-friendly option.
Environmental Considerations:
- Electric leaf blowers are considered more environmentally friendly than gas-powered ones, as they produce zero emissions during operation.
When choosing a rated electric leaf blower vacuum, consider factors such as your yard size, the type and amount of debris you need to handle, and the convenience of a corded or cordless model based on your preferences and available power sources.

User questions & answers
Question: | does dust escape |
Answer: | Yes, some dust does escape while using the vacuum function. It depends on how much dry dirt is in the debris that you are picking up. |
Question: | I've got lots of acrons falling. Will this pick them up and will the acorns hurt the unit |
Answer: | I just uyse mine for the first time. I purchased it elsewhere because I wanted it right away oh, but it is the same model. As someone else noted, the instruction manual specifically says to avoid acorns. What ends up happening is that it will get stuck in the impeller, you can hear it clanking around, and that will eventually damage the blades, especially on an electric model like this. So, while it will pick up the acorns, I wouldn't recommend it. I have found that reducing the speed and hovering above leaves that happen to have acorns under them works pretty well to get the leaves. I also have a portion of my driveway that is gravel, and if I hover above that, it will pick up the leaves without picking up the gravel. |
Question: | I'm assuming that it is a three prong plug but want to make sure before I buy an extension cord with it |
Answer: | It is a two prong plug on the blower (this is normal) but you still want to use/buy a grounded extension cord to your supply outlet. |
Question: | I'm 5'1, 110 lbs and 65 yrs old, not real strong, but determined. Do you think I could handle this blower |
Answer: | NO, don’t buy this. I am 5’2 108 lbs. and 68 yrs., very determined to do my own yard work. The vac tube makes it impossible for me to handle the weight. As it is now, I have to hold the motor at chest height. There should be a shorter tube attachment option. Blower is no problem. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long does the blower operate on a full charge |
Answer: | 35-45 min...one of the best blowers that I've owned in my 40yrs of experience |
Question: | New 5300 ego. The battery has four ribs. Blower only has 3 mounting slots in the battery port. Did I get a defective blower? Should it have 4 slots |
Answer: | The blower is not defective, the battery has four slots, the blower has three blades that fit into three of them. The fourth slot on the battery may be used by other equipment as the battery can be used by more EGO devices than just the blower. |
Question: | Is this strong enough to blow acorns |
Answer: | Acorns? This thing blows rocks... |
Question: | For models with battery and charger, is the charger the Standard or Rapid-Charge version |
Answer: | Standard charger. |

- TURBINE FAN TECH: Worx engineers figured out how to get a jet engine-type motor inside of a leaf blower. Super powerful, yet not so loud that you’ll think it’s getting ready for takeoff
- TWICE AS FAST AS PRO BLOWERS: Professional-grade gas blowers rely on outdated tech. The Turbine is cutting edge, and spins twice as fast as the blowers used by commercial grounds crews
- 2 SPEEDS FOR DIFFERENT JOBS: Go slow for pavement or tight corners. On the open lawn, switch to speed 2 and see what the 110 mph Turbine can do
- 600 CFM: We named the Turbine 600 after the 600 Cubic Feet per Minute of high-capacity air volume that shoots out of its wide-mouth nozzle. That’s a wide, strong path of air that allows you to clear large areas with fewer passes
- DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX: WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last
- HYPER-STREAM AIR NozZLE: We didn’t just stop designing once we were finished with the Turbine engine. We added an attachable nozzle, optimized to direct all that volume in a concentrated area for tougher jobs
- ONE-HANDED OPERATION: All the power and only 6.4 pounds The Turbine 600 is designed to be controlled with just one hand. The ergonomic design funnels the wind in a way that’s easy to handle
- EXTENSION CORD RETAINER: The 11-1/2” electrical cord comes with a retainer attached, so when using an extension cord it won’t disconnect, even when it gets snagged
User questions & answers
Question: | does this have a 3 prong plug or just |
Answer: | The WG520 Turbine blower only has 2 prongs on it. |
Question: | How loud is this |
Answer: | It's difficult to answer in terms of decibels. I would say louder than a hair dryer and not as loud as a lawn mower. No more loud than any average leaf blower you may have heard before. Hope this helps. |
Question: | does this have enough power to dry off a pickup? i am looking for something to dry off a full size pickup and that will be the only use |
Answer: | ABSOLUTELY! This is a great leaf blower! 5 of 5 Stars. I have a full-time landscaper so I've only used mine a couple of times for yard work. I purchased this to do a "hands-free" blowdrying of my full-size Lincoln Navigator. I detest paint swirls (fine scratches in the paint) so I minimize touching the paint with any sort of material. I tried several different leaf blowers before finding this one. This blower gets 90% of the water off the car the few drops that are left are carefully removed with a 100% cotton, hemless, microfiber towel specifically designed not to produce paint swirls. Don't skimp on the extension cord though. You will need a (minimum) 12 Ga 50' cord to use with this product as it pulls 15 amps on Turbo (highest setting). I am tired of dealing with the cord though, and EGO just came out with some fantastic cordless leaf blowers that have similar MPH and CFM ratings but, unfortunately, they cost several times more than this unit. I am testing one later today that cost $179 and next week I will be testing the $329 model from EGO. I will have the Worx blower to fall back on if they don't work out but from what I've read it looks like I will be selling my Worx blower soon. |
Question: | I’m looking for a blower that will blow loose grass off of mulch without blowing the mulch away. Will this fit my needs |
Answer: | Yes, I use it for that. The on/off switch has a variable speed control. As a result, you can vary the blower force so you can gently blow the grass and not the mulch. |
Question: | While i read in the question area about a rake attachment w/black+decker bv6600, i don't see amazon saying it in the product description; included |
Answer: | Yes, the rake is in there. I wouldn’t say that it was a deciding factor for me for the purchase though. I personally see it as a hindrance because the leaves would ball up on the rake. But the unit is a great blower, vac, mulcher. |
Question: | Can this be used to vacuum fireplace ash? Would there be a bag attachment more suitable to collect ash, or would the standard/disposable bag work |
Answer: | Oh goodness no. Ash particulate matter are too small and will escape the bag and ash will go all over the room. Don't use this inside the house to collect ash. I suppose you can do this outside and it won't be as problematic. |
Question: | What is the difference between the B&D BV5600,BV6000, and BV |
Answer: | According to the Black and Decker web site the difference is the attachments it comes with. see the following I quote...The differences between all three of those models are the attachments that are included with them and the switch. The performance of all three are the same 180/250 mph. BV5600 includes the vacuum tubes, blower tubes, concentrator, reusuable collection bag, leaf blaster attachment, and two speed switch.BV6000 includes the vacuum tubes, blower tubes, concentrator, diffuser, disposable bag, detachable strap, and two speed switch.BV6600 includes all the same attachments as the BV6000 plus a rake attachment and the switch is variable speed. |
Question: | What is the difference between BV5600 and BV6600 Blowers |
Answer: | Not much difference in the two models. The BV6600 cost a little more has and air speed range of 140-250 mph and the BV5600 air speed range is 180-250 mph. I chose the BV6600 so that I would have the option of using it at the lower, quieter airspeed in areas where less power is needed. |
Question: | does it have attachments also (different nozzel's and such |
Answer: | No, just a great little, light weight blower, worth the money. |
Question: | Do they make bags stronger for this product? How much are replaceable bags? Is there a way to instal a metal blade to replace the plastic (shredding |
Answer: | Don't see how a replaceable bag could work in that it would have to have the ability to allow air flow without releasing too much dust. The cost would not be much less than the bag supplied with this item |
Question: | does a power cord come wit it |
Answer: | It does have a short power cord to connect to an extension cord. An extension cord does not come as part of the Toro 51585 Power Sweep. My wife uses this item frequently and likes it very much. It is light weight, but plenty powerful. |
Question: | One of the reviews says that the plug is only two prong and isn't the three prong grounded plug. My long extension cord and probably all long outdoor extension cords are three prong with the ground. Can someone verify if this accepts a three prong grounded extension cord |
Answer: | I didnt understand why it wasnt a 3 prong either... I have an old, like 25 or more yrs old I had to stop using because the plug on it started pulling away from the short wire. (the only weak link in this machine that I encountered) I was going to fix it and found a plug .. but with that stubby end and all the yanking etc right there so close to the machine I decided to just replace the machine. The two prong on the machine wouldnt care if there is an extra hole in the socket plug in .. and if the machine only has 2 prongs I guess it doesnt need 3. |

Switch from blow to vac and mulch with just the turn of a dial. “Rake the leaves” with just this one tool in half the time it used to take you. And with the 16:1 mulch ratio, you’ll have far fewer bags to drag to the curb when you’re done. The 600 CFM – 12A Electric TRIVAC is here to make yard work so much easier. First off, all that tech is less than 10 lbs, so almost anyone can operate it with just one hand. The 2-speed control lets you blow on low for tight corners, and then crank it up to 70 mph for the open yard. 600 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) is an awful lot of air and creates a nice wide stream to get even more done in less time. And the powerful 12A electric motor frees you from the expense and hassle of gas-powered blowers to give you a cleaner and quieter experience. Let’s talk some more about that mulching function. The patented articulating design lets you flip it into vacuum and mulch mode with just one turn. You don’t need to switch out the tube, and you certainly don’t need any tools to do it. It sucks up leaves into the metal impeller and shredder blades, which chops them up into 1/16th their regular size. So you can stuff 16x more leaves and yard debris into the 1.4 bushels collection bag than you could with a regular yard vacuum or a blower or a rake. Welcome to the TRIVAC, it’s the better way to go “rake the leaves.”
- LEAF BLOWER, MULCHER & VACUUM: The proprietary design changes from a blower to a vacuum with a mulcher with just the turn of a dial. Blow, vacuum, and mulch all day long if you want. But you won’t have to. The Worx Trivac makes quick work of yard work
- A WIDE, STRONG STREAM OF AIR: 600 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) come streaming out of the wide-mouth tube. That’s high-capacity air volume so you clear your property with less passes back and forth
- METAL MULCHER: The metal impeller with its shredder blade cuts in two stages, chopping leaves down to a 16:1 mulch ratio – that’s 16 bags of leaves mulched into one
- QUICK, DETACHABLE BAG: When it’s time for composting or collection, the bag has an easy release. No muss, no fuss. Turn a dirty job into a quick one
- DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX: WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last
- 2 SPEEDS FOR DIFFERENT JOBS: Go slow for pavement or tight corners. On the open lawn, switch to speed 2 – up to 70mph – and see what it can do
- ONE-HANDED OPERATION: The Worx Trivac is designed to be controlled with just one hand. It’s only 9 lbs. and the ergonomic design funnels the wind so it’s easy to handle
Product features

One-Touch Conversion From Blower to Vacuum
Just turn the knob. The patented articulating mower switches from Blower mode to Vacuum mode as quick as that.
A Wide, Strong Stream of Air
600 Cubic Feet per Minute, blowing out at 75 MPH, from a motor spinning at 16,500 revs/min is more than enough air volume and force to clear the largest lawns with the biggest trees.
Metal Mulcher
The durable, high-efficiency metal impeller boasts a 16:1 mulch ratio. That means 16 bags worth of leaves get chopped up into 1 bag. No more lining the curb with dozens of bags of leaves.

User questions & answers
Question: | How long does it take to fully charge the battery |
Answer: | How long does a charge last? |
Question: | How does this product perform at loosening plus blowing out wet and dry leaves in a garden bed |
Answer: | It is not real powerful, so it would be frustrating to use on wet leaves. Fine as a broom for dry materials on a smooth surface like a patio. Honestly though, i don't think the convenience of cordless makes up for how underpowered they are compared to a corded blower. |
Question: | Works ok. it is real easy to put battery in but, it is real hard to take off blower to charge. any thoughts |
Answer: | I don't have any issues taking the battery off. I ass-u-me your pressing the release button....if so and its hard to remove maybe your release is messed up. |
Question: | The item is made in china. quality control is poor some batteries don't recharge fully on arrival to usa |
Answer: | Hello Vuong,The batteries are not shipped fully charged. To charge the battery please ensure you have fully connected the battery into the charger, when the battery is connected into the charger you should hear an audible click noise, additionally the battery should not be able to slide out of the charger without releasing the lock latch. Answer: | Mine sucked up wet leaves no problem. We even had an early snow and when I sucked a pile of leaves I had snow in the bag. No problem at all! |
Question: | Bought original 40V Greenworks a couple years ago. Are these new 40V G-MAX batteries compatible with original and visa-versa for DigiPro machines |
Answer: | No, the connections and chargers are different for the 2 systems. Needless to say the owners of earlier 40v batteries are not happy but the new g-max batteries store more power which is a step in the right direction... |
Question: | What is the process from changing the device from blowing to vacuum? Do you only need to change attachments or is there more involved |
Answer: | To use as a blower, you have the blower tube installed and the intake gate closed. To use as a vacuum, you put the bag on in place of the blower tube and install the mulch tubes in place of the intake gate. So no, nothing more is needed. |
Question: | How does this blower compare to the Toro 51609, which costs one fourth as much? Toro has tons of great reviews, more power, and a metal mulch blade |
Answer: | I have both. Toro 51609 is more powerful and has a metal mulch blade like you said. The only one reason I got G-MAX DigiPro is because it's cordless. |
Question: | Is the sweeper function the same as a blower? If not, what is the purpose of this function |
Answer: | The Sweeper is a vacuum function. It is for light use only, which means it works best sucking up small leaves and debris (orange tree size leaves at most). Not recommended to suck up twigs and large size leaves. If you do, you will be taking apart the bag and tube to dislodge leaves and twigs entangled in the vac a few times during use. I use a screw driver/small probe to dislodge the debris. I've used it on grass lawns and flower beds to remove leaves with no real issues. I've had my 40 volt vac for over 5 years and can't live without it. It is also a useful tool to remove leaves from planters with medium size gravel or river rocks (it will not pick up the gravel). I also recommend vacuuming small amounts of leaves at a time instead of in bunches to avoid clogging the vac. Despite the small inconvenience of unclogging the vac, I couldn't do without it, it beats blowing the leaves, gathering them and then picking them up. Great tool for small jobs. |
Question: | do the bags come with it |
Answer: | A cloth bag comes with it. It is NON disposable. You empty it when it's full. |
Question: | Does it include charger |
Answer: | Yes. Keep in mind like I did when I bought it. Amazon and other distributors have two prices listed for the B&D blower/vac. The lower price (under 100 dollars) does not have battery and charger and the higher priced blower/vac (140 dollar item) does have everything. |
Question: | How long will it vacuum with a full charge |
Answer: | I could vacuum my courtyard around 2 times before I had to charge it. It didn't take long to charge. |
Product description
Clearing your lawn of leaves and debris just got a whole lot easier. The TRIVAC 3-in-1 Blower / Yard Vacuum / Mulcher blows out 80-210 mph of airflow with 350 CFM of air volume. That’s a lot of power that also switches into a vacuum to clear your lawn of leaves. Then, when you’re ready for collection, the TRIVAC turns into a mulcher, employing its sturdy metal impeller to chop leaves down at a 16:1 ratio. And the attachable collection bag holds 1.2 bushels of those mulched leaves. It’s easy to clean, easy to assemble and operate, and easy to carry, even while operational.
- 3 MAJOR YARD TOOLS IN ONE: Change functions with just a flip of the switch, no need to stop and change out a tube—go from a 210-mph blower to a vacuum that sucks up dry leaves
- 16:1 MULCH RATIO: The metal impeller chops 16 bags of leaves into one and it’s built to last, so the TRIVAC will be around to clear your lawn for years to come
- ONE-HANDED OPERATION: When in blower and vacuum modes, you only need one hand to handle all that power—it’s only 9.5 pounds
- ADJUSTABLE AIRFLOW SPEED: Sometimes you need to slow it down to clean out corners or small spaces, so the blower can be brought down to 80 mph
- DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX: WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last
- GET UNDER THE DECK: The clever tube design can get under the patio or lawn furniture to blow or vacuum up leaves in tough to reach places
- EASY CLEANING AND EMPTYING: The TRIVAC comes with a collection bag that unlocks for easy emptying, and the quick-release button allows for quick cleaning
- INCLUDES: 350 CFM 12A Trivac, 1.2 Bushel Collection Bag
User questions & answers
Question: | Some reviews say it is heavier than appears. Could a 70+ year old handle it? Can you use 2 hands on the one handle |
Answer: | Yeah I would say yes you can use 2 hands and should be able to use it if your pretty active 70+ I am 65 and it is no problem for me to use. |
Question: | Does this come with the bag |
Answer: | Yes, however the bag is very small. You are better off buying the WORX WA0030 Landscaping 26-Gallon Spring Bucket Yard Bag and putting a lawn bag inside. You can tighten the can cover over the yard bag and basically drag it behind you. It will fill an entire leaf bag and give you much more time in between bags. The one that comes with the blower/mulcher has to be emptied every 5 minutes otherwise. |
Question: | Can 5' 4" be sucessful with this product? Will it vacuum hickory nuts? Mulch hickory nuts |
Answer: | The manufacturer specifications state that it is designed to handle leaves and debris but does not speak to problem yard debris such as hickory nuts, pine cones, etc. We've reviewed a couple of personal reviews that indicates it does a great job with these items as well but there is no manufacturer documentation to support it. |
Question: | Does anyone know the difference btw. the worx wg500, 502, 502.2, 505, 508, and 509? Confused |
Answer: | From what I can tell:+ 500 has a plastic impeller. Bad idea for vacuum function.+ 502 ==> replaced by 509+ 502.2 Home Depot model looks 502/509+ 505 Upgrade the impeller to metal, a compelling advantage for product reliability. Increase mulch rate from 10:1 to 16:1.+ 508 The "compete with Toro" model. Swap out parts to convert from blower to vacuum. By using optimized parts, you gain slightly better performance at the price of needing to store all the parts together. I had a "dual use" Toro that functioned only as a blower after losing some of the vac parts. It runs quieter, and Depot states that you can get away with a lighter extension cord (16 Ga).+ 509 Upgrade to the 505. The 509 looks like it weighs 1/2 pound more through some combination of beefier motor and improved impeller. It improves much ratio from 16:1 to 18:1. I see more complaints about the weight in the 509 reviews than the 505 reviews. It looks like the 509 requires a heavier extension cord too.If you have a LOT of leaves, the 509 is probably your best option. If you have a lot of ground to cover with lower leaf density or want to do a quicker job with a 14-gauge rather than 12-gauge extension cord, go with the 505. If you want optimal performance, go with the 508 or a Toro system, which is designed to operate by switching tubes. |

TRIVAC 3-in-1 Blower / Mulcher / Yard Vacuum with Metal Impeller (WG505)
The WORX TRIVAC 3-in-1 Blower / Mulcher / Vacuum has the versatility to change jobs with the flip of a switch. More Benefits
As a blower, the TRIVAC produces an airspeed of up to 210 mph, strong enough for the toughest wet leaves and debris. While vacuuming, the high impact resistant impeller mulches leaves up to 1/10 of their original size. User questions & answers
Question: | I have this model snapper hd 48v max cordless electric string trimmer would the hd battery fit on this xd model |
Answer: | No, the Briggs & Stratton 48v batteries will only work with the Snapper HD 48V product line. |
Question: | Can I use the battery I got for the Snapper lawnmower for this blower |
Answer: | If both your mower and blower are XD, you can use the same battery for both. Same for HD and other models. That is, you can use the same battery for any XD equipment. So, if your Snapper Mower is an XD mower, you can use the same battery for your XD blower. I might add, however, that I have both and I am very disappointed that the battery only lasts about 13 minutes before discharging. I have been told by Snapper and Briggs and Stratton that this is normal, not the up to 40 minutes that they advertise. So, I would not recommend either of these tools to anyone. |
Question: | Received blower today. Per owner's manual, a green light is displayed when charging battery. Mine only displays blinking red. Is battery defective |
Answer: | A blinking red light indicates that there is a charging fault (page 14 of the blower's operator manual). Please contact our customer support center at 800-743-4115 for further assistance. |
Question: | I do some Lawns for some people does this come in a bigger battery than a to a h and one more thing PS can this really blow those little itchy balls o |

There is a larger 4Ah capacity battery available for purchase separately, which has a model number of BSB4AH82, found here: http://a.co/g6BPnHg.
